Stinger Facts: Started wrestling in late 1985 as "Flash" of the team The Bladerunners. Sting has held the UWF tag team titles twice, once with Rick Steiner, once with Eddie Gilbert. First NWA/WCW title was the TV Title, which he won in 1989 by beating Mike Rotunda. He has held the World International Title twice by beating Rick Rude the first time and Big Van Vader the second He has held the WCW US Title three times. He has held the WCW World Tag Team Titles once with Lex Luger in 1996. He has held the WCW World Title 6 times, in 1990 by defeating Ric Flair, in 1992 by defeating Lex Luger, in 1993 by beating Big Van Vader, and in 1997 by defeating Hollywood Hogan. Sting also defeated Hollywood Hulk Hogan at SuperBrawl VII to win the title.

Casting a dark aura of mystery with intimidating silence, dramatic entrances and unpredictable alliances, Sting has kept fans and opponents off-balance.
This scorpion's attitude, forged from a friend's betrayal, is a stark departure of the multi-colored face paint, bright ring attire and blond coiffure of years ago. Now Sting is silent no more, ready to build upon his reputation as the "franchise" of WCW.
This native of Venice Beach, California has been a major fan-favorite from the beginning of his ring exploits with several "Wrestler of the Year" honors to his credit. Matching popularity with ring success he has garnered seven WCW World Heavyweight Championships, along with numerous other titles.
Before slamming opponents in the ring, he dunked basketballs in the collegiate ranks, as well as smacked volleyballs and surfed on the California coast. Sting also enjoys riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, off-road jeeps, golf and film acting. His first work was the 1998 independent release The Real Reason; he also had roles in Hogan's television series Thunder In Paradise. The home video Sting: Unmasked, a biography of his colorful career, was #1 on the sports video list. His most fulfilling activity is working with the Make-A-Wish and Starlight Foundations, which grant wishes to critically ill children.
Although at times Sting has been a mystery, the immense enthusiasm of his fans is no secret.
