A HIT AND A MISS

Sammy "Catfish" Gennaro, mob underboss for the Philadelphia crime family is on the run. He thinks he is safe in a small dirt water town where crime is almost non-existant. He comes to realize, too late, that the long arm of the mafia can catch him anywhere. His death is brutal and shocking to this tiny town.
The waitress in an all night diner is the first to see the aftermath of the professional hit. And the first to benefit from it as well.
At the feet of the murdered gangster is a bag containing more money than she ever dreamed was possible. Her decision to take the money and disappear turns out to be the biggest mistake of her young life.
Soon she realizes that her life is at danger. The mafia wants the money back, and the police are looking for her for answers to the brutal slaying.
Alone, and on the run, she turns to the only man in the world who will help her, the sheriff of the small county she had fled from.
Together, they must face the mafia in an effort to stay alive. That in itself is more than any person should have to endure, but the mafia has other plans. One by one, they start to eliminate the people of the town in an effort to flush the couple out of hiding.
Time is running out.
