'Go' is the low-cost subsidiary of British Airways. The airline began life on the 22 May 1998 with its first flight between London Stansted and Rome. Go is one of the latest in the 'no-frills' market and currently operates to 15 European destinations including Barcelona, Faro, Lisbon, Prague and Zurich. The airline also operates a Stansted to Edinburgh and Glasgow service. Go started operations with five second-hand Boeing 737-300's but eight more have been acquired becasue of the airlines rapid expansion. Six of the eight aircraft are brand new and are on lease from GECAS. All aircraft are operated in a single-class, 148 seat layout. Go is one of the increasing airlines which are ticketless, only a passport is required for travel and flights can be booked from their website. The airline is expected to begin a service to Iceland becoming the only British airline to do so.

Maersk Air was formed on 1st August 1993 following the dissolution of the TPL group, which comprised of Brymon Airways and Birmingham Executive Airways. Birmingham Executive was bought by Danish airline Maersk Air and Brymon became wholly-owned by British Airways. All scheduled services are operated under a franchise agreement with British Airways in BA colours and using a BA flight number. Maersk Air has spent £250 million re-equipping its fleet with modern Boeing 737-500 and CRJ-200 aircraft. Maersk Air have 50 CRJ-200 aircraft on order and already used 3 of its 12 options. The airline has also an order for three, 68-seat CRJ-700's plus options for three more for delivery from 2001 onwards. The arrival of these new aircraft has meant that the ageing BAC-1-11's and the sole Jetstream 41 have been phased out of Maersk Air's fleet.

British Regional Airlines operates an extensive network of services in the UK to airports including Aberdeen, Benbecula, Liverpool, Belfast and London City. The airline also operates to five airports in Ireland (Cork, Dublin, Shannon, Waterford & Knock) and 6 destinations in Europe (Paris - Charles de Gaulle, Berlin, Hanover, Brussels, Nice & Lyon). All British Regional services are operated in British Airways colours under a franchise agreement. British Regional became the first airline in the UK to operate the ERJ-145. The airline initially ordered five aircraft and the first flight took place on the Manchester-Berlin route in August 1997. The airline soon added another ten aircraft to its order plus options for another five aircraft, which were firmed in May 1999. Further orders and options will bring the potential fleet to 25 aircraft making British Regional the largest ERJ-145 operator outside the United States. The new ERj-145's will enable British Regional to replace some of its existing turboprop fleet and help to further develop its route network.

Brymon Airways started operations on June, 15 1972 with a flight between Newquay and the Scilly Isles. The airline took an active role in the development of London City Airport and operated the first flight from the airport on October 26, 1987 using a Dash-7 aircraft. In 1992 Brymon began trading as Brymon European along with its sister company Birmingham European Airways. However the airline reverted back to its original name in 1993 when the airline became a wholly-owned by British Airways. Brymon made the decision to move to jet aircraft with an order for up to 21 Embraer ERJ-145's on May 28, 1999. The order, valued at $420 million, was for 7 firm aircraft and 14 options. The options are flexible and allow the airline to choose between taking the smaller ERJ-135 or the larger ERJ-170 aircraft as well as ordering more ERJ-145's. Brymon received their first ERJ-145 aircraft in February 2000 and deliveries of the firm orders were completed by March 2001. In March 2000 Brymon opened a new terminal at Bristol airport, the airline's main base. The new terminal features the airlines own executive lounge and self-service check-in. Brymon also adopted a new corporate identity during 2000.

The airline has been known as Gibraltar Airways and Gibair, until 1981 when the present day name was adopted. Cityflyer

CityFlyer Express is a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Airways. The airline was formed in 1991 after the collapse of Air Europe Express. Initially operating night freight flights, the airline soon began scheduled passenger services under the name of Euroworld Airways. The present day name was adopted in February 1992 and the airline began operating under the British Airways brand in August 1993. CityFlyer Express was the first UK operator of the ATR42 in April 1992 and similarly the ATR72 in October 1994. The airline received its first jet-aircraft in October 1997 in the form of the Avro-RJ100 and was also the first UK operator for this aircraft type. In November 1999 CityFlyer Express became wholly owned by British Airways but retains its own Air operators certificate. CityFlyer has adopted many routes that BA has dropped including Brussels, Luxembourg and Jersey. CityFlyer Express also has an ever increasing charter network, operated under the 'FD' designator. In winter the airline operates a large number of flights to ski destinations including Chambery, Innsbruck and Sion on behalf of major tour operators. CityFlyer also operates the only winter flights between the UK and Ibiza.
