What is your favourite British charter airline?

Current Results

British European started life as Jersey European in 1979, from the merger of Intra Airways and Express Air Services. In 1983 the Jersey European was taken over by Jack Walker's Walkersteel group, who already owned charter airline Spacegrand Aviation. The two airlines were initially run separately until 1985, when they merged under the Jersey European name and Exeter became the airlines headquarters. Over the next few years Jersey European took delivery of new and larger aircraft to add to its fleet. In 1986 three Shorts 360 aircraft joined the fleet and three British Aerospace HS-748's arrived soon afterwards. As passenger numbers continued to increase, Jersey European took delivery of six Fokker F27's in 1990. A new appearance was also launched in 1990 which featured a new livery and new crew uniforms. In 1991 the airline acquired its first London route from London Gatwick to Guernsey, and soon afterwards from London Gatwick to Jersey. Jersey European received their first jet aircraft in 1993 with the arrival of three BAe 146 'whisper jets'. The new aircraft proved to be such a success that a fourth was added to the fleet the same year. With the arrival of the new jets, Jersey European launched a Business class product, making it the first domestic airline to offer a two-class service. 1995 saw more BAe 146 jets joining the fleet, bringing the total number of jets to seven. Jersey European's route network expanded into Europe with a code-share agreement with Air Inter, offering flights between London Stansted and Marseilles. In 1996 the first franchise routes in conjunction with Air France began from London Heathrow to Toulouse and Lyons. Jersey European's franchise partnership with Air France grew in 1997 with the introduction of flights from Birmingham and Glasgow to Paris. Five more BAe 146 aircraft were also added to the fleet in 1997 to allow further route expansion. 1999 was a year for orders within the airline, with eleven Bombardier Dash 8s and four Canadair Regional Jets being ordered. 1999 also the airline establishing a new base at London City Airport with flights to Dublin and Edinburgh. On June 1, 2000 Jersey European changed its name to British European, to better reflect the fact that it is now the UK's third largest domestic airline.

I have just obtained a brochure for Preston Holidays with one of your adverts on the back. How do you fly 'from destinations' since a destination is defined as a 'place to which a person or thing is going?'(Concise Oxford Dictionary)
