Adopt-A-Rover
Ok, first off... Star shut down the Adopt-A-Rover program because she grew tired of people badgering her about being too slow or not getting the dog they wanted. Now Star has been kind enough to allow me to take over the Adopt-A-Rover program and keep it running. HOWEVER, I will not put up with any kind of abuse. If you request a dog, I will NOT forget you. I will see to you as quickly as possible, please do not email me asking if I've approved you yet. Also, There may be more than one request for the same dog and I will use my own judgement as to whom it goes to. I do not want to hear any complaints from people who didn't get the dog they wanted. In short, if I am treted like Star was, I will shut the program back down.

This has always been a condition, but I was a little vauge in describing it. I sincerely apoligize for any confusion.
The creators of the characters KEEP all copyrights, ownership, and control of their characters.
Most of these characters were created complete with their own specific traits and personal backgrounds. If you adopt, you must not post your own assumptions or ideas about a character's personality or background unless you have permission from the creator to do so.
I say this now because one person has broken the above mentioned conditions. I will not mention a name because it is as much my fault as anybody elses because I was not very specific.
Adopt-A-Rover is strictly a cyber-pet program and NOT a character give-away.
Proceedure for adopting a Rover:
The rules are the same as when Adopt-A-Rover was run by Star.
1. Send me an email at dj_rover@excite.com naming the dog you want and why you think he or she should be adopted to you.
2. You must put up a "Doghouse" for your Rover on your page.
3. Your page must be kept "live". Meaning updated periodicly. I do not expect weekly updates or anything, but if your page goes untouched for months at a time then I reserve the right to take back the dog and place him / her back up for adoption. In other words, take care of your dog or loose it.
For those who would like to place their characters up for adoption, All I need is a picture of the character in canine form and a short bio to post along with the picture. Please sent to dj_rover@excite.com.
Advantages to putting your character up for adoption:
More exposure for your character. As the creator, you KEEP full control of the character. Consider it free advertising for your work.
Advantages to adopting a character:
It's a fun and easy way to actively participate in the fandom :)
