DR DEVICE- noun 1. Dr. Device (Molecular Detachment Device) The Dr. (or Molecular Detachment) Device works by temporarily dissociating molecules from one another. When the majority of molecules in the subject area have been dissociated, the field generated by the device dissipates. Molecules then draw back together, forming a shapeless lump of dirt and iron.

The molecular detachment field is formed in the focal point of two beams. The MD field spreads out in a sphere. If few molecules are present in the sphere, the field weakens. If a greater number of molecules are present, the field strengthens and the process begins anew. When the number of available molecules falls below the field's "critical mass" the process ceases.

The Dr. Device is considered a starship-to-starship weapon.

2. DR Device (ska-like musical performing seals) consisting of 2 large ape-like creatures on primitive stringed instruments, accompanied by 3 smaller creatures not unlike monkeys banging and blowing Dr Device plays a bastardized version of the Jamaican born music known as "ska" seemingly mixed with the english born youth protest movement known as "punk " Occaisionly a little monkey-like being stops blowing and starts screaming.. we havent figured out this behavior yet, although we do think its some sort of mating ritual attempting to attract small animals and females. Soon he is pushed back by a larger of the group who also attempts to attract small animals and females by vocalization..unfortunately the small animals and females get scared and leave the area to inhale the fumes of burning plant matter from lil white sticks in some sort of religious ritual to ward off evil spirits.
