Super Smash Brothers Submissions Page
Here is your chance, our readers, to make a huge difference
in the amount of information that is being offered by our page. If you
have any great strategies that you would like the rest of our readers to
know, strategies that we have not yet covered, let us know by clicking
here and emailing us. Let your
SSB gaming ability be heard around the world and show everyone how and
why you're kicking butt in your respective towns. This page also gives
you an opportunity to offer up strategies covering subjects that we, the
webmasters, do not wish to cover on our website. This includes fighting
computer characters and completing the special boards. Therefore, you can
even put up information that we don't even condone since it is not specifically
our information. But remember that all material sent in to us is subject
to review and editing before it is printed on the page and may not even
make it onto the page in the first place. Finally, let us know what kind
of credit you would like. E-mail address, a nickname, etc. It's all up
to you. Thanks again.
From Ash Ketchum:
-
With Samus, when your enemy has 80% or more damage, attack him from above
using down and A. If he is standing on the ground, he will fly up in the
air helpless. This gives you many opportunities. You can give him the screw
attack, do the overhead fire, or my favorite, when he drops back down hit
with a fierce A.
-
When fighting Metal Mario with Kirby, run to the far right. Then
turn to the left and hold on B. When Mario comes to attack, you'll suck
him up and for some reason, he'll nudge you to the right and you'll fall
off. Keep him in your mouth, because he'll die just a little before you
do. Easy victory!
-
Another neat trick with Kirby is to get your enemy right under the Great
Fox's tail. Face to the right, so he is between you and the wall. Then
do the Final Cutter (Up+B). If you're in the right spot, you can juggle
him over and over with this until you decide to finish him off.
-
When playing with Ness, play a game of Tee-ball. Hit your enemy with PK
Fire and hit him with your baseball bat, homerun bat, beam sword, etc...
-
When fighting against Computer Pikachu, you can get a Pacifist Award pretty
easily. Jump to the helipad and keep jumping off then back on.
Pikachu will do his quick attack, fly right over the helipad and die.

As you know, Fox's deflection shield can be useful under the right circumstances.
However, it is more useful than you think. Not only does it reflect attacks,
it strengthens them as well. It's beautiful to send laser beams or Samus's
ball of energy hurtling back to do more damage than it should. It's very
nice to use against ray-gun juggles. Even better, reflect a red shell three
times. BEWARE!!! After the third time, GET OUT OF THERE!!! That thing will
be so PISSED that it will smash even the strongest shield! Not only that,
but it does some 60% damage per hit to anyone who gets in the way. (I once
had Jiggly Puff get trapped by one, and she -- it -- whatever, accumulated
almost 800% damage in ten or twelve hits. My flip kick sent her to orbit
faster than the space shuttle!) The green shells do this, too. Even after
they have stopped, they remain super-charged. This is a very nice advantage
in team battles. Also, try reflecting Charizard's flames or that star-critters's
beams. It's funny to watch your friend(s) go "hunh!?!"
when their Pokemon turn on them! Fox isn't the only reflector, though.
Remember that baseball bat that Ness just pulls from somewhere? Well, I'll
let you figure that one out...
From James Edwards:
-
When using Jigglypuff, press Down + B when you're really.....and i mean
REALLY close to your opponent. You will hear the "SHRIIING" that you'd
hear from a homerun bat and it's a very powerful move.
-
I'm also knowledgeable about the fan being the best guard breaker in the
game...if you do a "smash" attack with it when your opponent is blocking,
it will automatically break it and they will go flying straight into the
air. Pretty cool huh?
-
This one is about my FAVORITE character...NESS!!! Okay, now with his homerun
bat, since it's faster than the item bat, it can be timed to knock projectiles
back at opponents!!! It is difficult to do but pretty funny as well.
-
There is a way to do four jumps with Mario (I don't know about Luigi, I
don't pick him much). All you need to do is jump, double jump, press Down
+ B and keep tapping B until he stops spinning. Then press UP + B to end
it all...it's pretty effective when mastered.
-
Yoshi can throw eggs WAY farther when you hold the B button as he's throwing
it.
-
If you're Kirby and have just done the Stone Stomp (Down + B) and you're
sliding off the stage, just press B again to return to that lovable little
pink...just what IS Kirby anyway?
