Welcome to the Uruk Ziggurat page

It is known as the White Temple. This Ziggurat was constructed around 300 B.C. Like most Ziggurats, it was constructed on a brick platform with a temple on the top. The only way to get to the temple was to climb a massive set of stairs. The temple at the top was about three times the size of a classroom. There were three entrances to the temple but the main was at the south side.

This is a picture of the remains of the Ziggurat in Uruk. This is a picture of what it used to look like.
