Mia—Armor of Occlusion (truth)

 

 

Background:  Not much background is needed for Mia for those who’ve seen the show.  But just in case…here goes.  Mia’s grandfather had studied the legend of the Ronin Warriors—how they would come to save mankind when the great darkness fell over the earth.  He put all his knowledge into secret computer files.  This was a good move since he was soon killed by Talpa’s evil forces.  Mia deciphered the files and helped the Ronins figure out what they were supposed to do.  Without her help, the Ronins would not have gotten back together after Talpa scattered them.

 

Once Gilgamesh returned to earth, his armor became active again, reviving the other Sentinel Armors as well.  Mia experienced an excruciating headache followed by the strange feeling that there was a world of knowledge and understanding just beyond her reach.  Seeing Hecate disguised as Uli’s mom triggered her armor’s full emergence.  She was able to see through Hecate’s illusion and dispel it with one of her shurikens.  Mia had been intelligent and perceptive before, but now she could see through lies, illusions, and darkness with uncanny insight.

 

After Ryo finally got up the courage to ask her out, Mia and Ryo began dating seriously.  Now that she’s an armored warrior, they have a more balanced relationship.  She understands Ryo better as well because she’s become the unofficial leader of the Sentinels, just as Ryo has led the Ronins.

 

Good Traits:  Mia is smart, caring, and empathetic.  More than anything she is strong in spirit.  She cares a great deal for her friends and has become the underlying support of the team.  Her courage and wisdom have pulled the team out of desperate straits several times.  She’s also a great organizer and unswerving leader.  Mia is also very rich and owns a large lakeside home that she has expanded to accommodate all the Ronins and Sentinels. 

 

Bad Traits:  Mia has few bad traits.  She does have a temper where stupidity is concerned.  She became extremely exasperated with the other Sentinels when they fought amongst themselves in “Children of Nyx”.  She also tends to carry all the team’s burdens, keeping her own worries and fears to herself.  She lets their problems weigh on her mind until she becomes mildly depressed.

 

Abilities:  Mia wears the Armor of Occlusion.  It is shades of grey with black trim.    This armor gives her the ability to see through and dispel lies and illusions.  She can also disguise the truth.  Her weapon is a grey shadow katana.  With it she can create mystical fogs and mists that block probes by physical or magical means with the battle cry “Dark Fog Rise”.  She has also used her fogs to help others clear and focus their thoughts.  Her katana can destroy insubstantial creatures such as spirits.  Her shurikens can dispel illusion upon contact and have on one occasion, helped clarify the thoughts of someone who’d been brainwashed.
