I arrived at the University of Southern California in 1981 as a Communications major on a Trustee Scholarship.
Before long, I began major-hopping to Social Sciences, Film School, and the Study of Women & Men in Society.
My freshman roommate Rita Fisher agreed to play the lead actress in my Super-8 film production of "Princess of the Oddballs." Although classmates kindly compared me to John Waters, my movies were notoriously awful. But sheer wackiness earned me some recognition, especially for the twisted masterpiece "Fingernail Fetish."
