Swan Lake - Part One

Long ago, there was a prince named Endymion. He lived by the most
beautiful lake in all of Earth.
Prince Endymion's father died recently. His mother, Queen Gaia, ruled
the planet Earth until her son came of age. Endymion loved to go hunting with
his friends the most. Although he was a smart and studious student, he would
love to sing, dance, and have a merry time with his friends.
The date soon arrived when Endymion came of age. A huge party was held
for the prince. The Queen had given him the most beautiful hand bow and couldn't
wait to use it. As he thanked his mother, she quickly reminded her son of the
ball that was to be held tomorrow for him to find a wife. Endymion quickly
refused admitting that he loved no one. The queen looked at her son angrily
and quickly left.

Endymion looked gloomy and didn't feel like partying with his close
friends which were also his generals.
"Cheer up Endymion, we're all going hunting. We all know you like to hunt."
Jadeite exclaimed. Endymion nodded his head in agreement as he slowly followed his
generals towards the mysterious lake.
When they were near the lake, he quickly told his friends to stay behind
while he went on ahead. He leaned on a tree and stared up at the brightly
shining moon. As he looked closer, he could faintly see the out lines of swans.
It was quite unusual since it seemed that the swans came from the moon and were
flying towards Earth. He laughed at that thought as he aimed the bow towards the
leader of the swans. When it struck mid night, the first swan came towards him
and transformed into a beautiful maiden. Endymion gasped in shock. He stared
intently at the maiden's angelic face and her long, pale blond hair. But most of
all, he was mesmerized by her sparkling sky blue eyes.

::Serenity's POV::
I quickly led them towards the lake. The moon shone brightly behind
us. It was close behind us. When we smoothly landed on the waters surface,
the senshi left my side. As I walked towards land, I transformed into my real
self. I smoothed out my gown when I heard a gasp right next to me. I quickly
turned around and found myself looking at a dark haired man with the most unusual
shade of dark blue. My heart fluttered and I felt my soul jump with joy. I wanted
to run up to this stranger and just hold him tight but I thought better of myself.

::Endymion's POV::
As I stared at the angel, she quickly turned around to leave. I couldn't
see her leave so I quickly grabbed her by the arm.
"Who are you and are you really a swan?"
The maiden smiled a sad smile, "I am Princess Serenity of the Moon. My protectors
and I were put under a spell to turn us into swans by day and humans by night."
As he was about to ask another question, until he could see someone floating above
them.
"Princess, do you still refuse to marry me?" asked the strange person.
"I will never marry you Prince Diamond! Never!" she screamed as she tried to hide
Endymion. He looked angrily at her and vanished.
She looked up to where Prince Diamond was and asked a question, "What ever is your name?"
Prince Endymion replied, "Prince Endymion of the planet Earth." When she heard him say
prince, she jumped for joy. She quietly told Endymion on how she was turned into a Swan
with the other senshi and how this lake was made out of Queen Serenity's tears. She
also told him on how the only way to turn back is to marry a Prince. When he heard
this, he got on one knee and said, "Princess Serenity, I am sad of what you tell so....
will you marry me?" Serenity turned beat red when he said that. She nodded her head
and hugged him tightly. After awhile, they could here fighting going on. Serenity's
face turned white. She got up and dragged Endymion towards the battle.

::Serenity's POV::
When I heard someone yell "Mars Celestial Fire Surround," I knew that something was
wrong. I grabbed Endymion's hand and raced towards my friends. What I saw surprised me.
Not only did the senshi have magic but these humans did as well.
"Venus Love Me Chain Encircle!"

::Endymion's POV::
A blond women yelled something and her attack headed straight towards Zoycite.
I quickly threw a rose towards the energy making it miss its target. The fighting
warriors stopped fighting each other and stared towards the Prince and Princess.
I couldn't help but notice how they stared at each other. It seems that my generals
are in love.

::Serenity's POV::
The warriors looked a bit ashamed as we stared at them angrily. The senshi went
besides me while the strange humans went towards Endymion. I told my friends on how
Endymion offered to marry me so we could all go back home. They hugged me then smiled
towards Endymion. Sailor Mars tried not to act so happy but she couldn't hold it back.

::Endymion's POV::
The first rays of daylight touched the small group. Serenity and her warriors turned
into swans as they headed towards the calm waters. I remembered about the ball so as loud as
I could, I told Serenity about it. Although she was far away, I knew that my beloved had heard
me. My generals and I quickly ran back towards the palace. I couldn't stop thinking of Serenity.
At breakfast, my mother quickly reminded me about the ball and how I should pick a wife.
Otherwise, she would have to choose for me. I just smiled at her in response. As I walked
around the palace gardens in search of my generals, I heard them talking about the beautiful
senshi. I smiled to myself and left them alone to dream of the ones they loved.

::Serenity's POV::
"I have you now Princess Serenity!" laughed Prince Diamond as he captured the senshi and
her. "Don't you know that I hear wants going on in the forest?" Diamond smiled evilly towards
her. I tried to speak but couldn't since I was in my swan form. As I struggled to be free,
Prince Diamond threw me in to a small dark hole. I had no idea where my friends were but I
knew I had to warn Prince Endymion. I looked around at my surrounding and saw a faint light
coming from crack. As I tried to free myself, the hole caved in. As I slowly opened my eyes,
I could see the palace not to far. With all my might, I escaped from my prison and flew towards
the palace.

::Diamond's POV::
"Beryl, where are you?" screamed Diamond. Beryl slowly walked up towards Diamond and
smirked, "Oh, poor baby! Did the little ol princess turn you down again?" With that, Diamond
turned red. "I need you to come to the ball with me looking like Serenity." Beryl screamed,
"Why do you want me to look like that b*%#? Also, if you don't already know, I am going to
a ball already." Diamond looked frustrated. He needed Beryl to come with him so he can go
on with his plans. "What ball are you going to?" Beryl smiled, "Prince Endymion's ball of
course! I plan on making him my future husband."
Diamond smiled a devilish smile, "That's the same ball that I want you to attend but listen to
my plan." As Beryl listened to Diamond's wicked plan, she couldn't believe this was coming
out from him. Once he finished, she transformed into Serenity while Diamond transformed into
Serenity's father. They both scurried away towards the Earth palace.

::Earth Palace::
Endymion looked around the grand ball room. He made sure there wasn't a flaw. As
the gardeners showed up with the roses, he started to yell, "I will not have
any othor color of roses besides red and pink." The gardeners agreed and returned back to
there work. As he glanced up, he saw his mother smiling down upon him. All he could do
was smile back to his mother. As he headed towards his room to get ready, he noticed
a swan tapping on the window. He looked closer to see if it was his beloved. When he
saw no crown upon the beautiful creatures head, he checked to see if one of the tail
feathers were a different color. (AN. The senshi in swan form have different colored
feathers like Jupiter would have a green feather etc. and Serenity would have a crown.)
To his dismay, he saw nothing. Since he saw no point in watching an ordinary swan
beating upon the window, he strolled to his chambers.

::Serenity's POV::
My heart felt like splitting in two when I saw him leave. Why didn't he notice me?
I wanted to give up and leave but I knew I mustn't. I flew down towards the palace entrance
just in case, danger is near. I over heard Diamond talking about coming to the ball but
I wasn't to sure what his plan was. All I could do know was wait.
I suddenly woke up as I heard footsteps approaching. The ball started over an
hour ago so I knew that they were late. I looked carefully at them but couldn't see
their faces so good. I could see a bit of blond hair so I knew that it wasn't Beryl and
Diamond. I could see the moon rising and remembered that I was suppose to be inside.
I quickly flew towards the lake. That was the only place where I could transform.

::Endymion's POV::
As I danced with each lady, I still couldn't see Serenity anywhere. The doors
opened all of the sudden and everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at the
new guests. He smiled as he saw Serenity with a deep black evening gown next to a
tall blond haired man. "Hello Prince Endymion. I hear that you wish to marry my
daughter Princess Serenity." Endymion bowed and asked Serenity for a dance. She
smiled sweetly as she accepted. During the middle of the dance, he quickly asked her
to marry him. "Oh Endymion, you know I already said yes." As he got everyone's
attention, he announced his engagement to Princess Serenity. What he didn't know
was that there was a swan desperately trying to get his attention.

::Serenity's POV::
As I was near the lake, I was too late. The moon shone brightly above the
star filled sky. I let out a single crystal tear. I could only transform when
the first rays of the moon touch the lake and reflects towards me. I flew with
all my might towards the palace. I flew close to the window and what I saw was
a woman dancing with Endymion but the woman looked like me! As I tried to get
through to him, he seemed to have to say something to the crowd. He then announced
his engagement to her but it wasn't her. With a flash of light, Princess Serenity
turned into Evil Queen Beryl while the King turned into Prince Diamond. Endymion
seemed to search for something and was looking straight at me. I couldn't see
him as my heart split into two. As I staggered to the lake, I could hear Endymion
yell, "I don't want to marry her! I give my heart to Serenity and no other!"
I gave a weak smile as I heard him but I knew it was too late.

::Endymion's POV::
As I ran towards the lake, my only thought was to find Serenity. I could
feel her soul torn apart and hurt. Once I arrived, I saw Serenity there with
her protectors around her. I quickly fell to my knees as I saw the one I love
hurt. She gave me a weak smile and hugged me. She was about to tell me something
but gasped in fright as Diamond fired an attack which headed straight for us.
I tried my best to shield Serenity but she instead got the hit. Her body fell
hard on to the ground. It quickly let out energy towards Diamond who did the same
but I wasn't sure if he was down or not. As I looked to see where Serenity lay,
she jumped into the deep part of the lake. "No, Serenity! Don't leave me!"
I quickly jumped into the deep cold waters.

By that brave act of love, the spell was broken and Diamond and Beryl were
no more. The senshi wept for the loss of their princess and her beloved prince.
Slowly, the moon disappeared and the sun took its place.
"The spell is broken." gasped Mercury.
"The Princess died since she couldn't bear seeing Endymion with Beryl. "Mars replied.
"While he losing Serenity." weeped Jupiter.
"What they did was the act of love." Venus sadly added.
Four grieving men went beside the weeping women as they all watched the lake which
took two lives. They all will never forget what happened between Serenity and
Endymion.

Note From The Author: I was so wrapped up on this that I forgot to study for my quiz!
Not only that but its a new marking period! There goes all my straight A's!
N E Way, I hope you like this! I know it has a sad ending but I had to do it!
That's how the story ends. I really wanted to do Cinderella but someone already
did that so I'm stuck with Swan Lake.
