LPG . LPG is heavier than air
and will fall or settle if released. Released from its liquid state, unignited gas tends to sink to the bottom of an enclosed compartment. Gas that is diffused throughout the compartment is not readily dispolled by overhead ventilation. If mixed with air in certain proportions and confined it will explode if ignited. In its gaseous state LPG presents a fire and explosion hazard. USE of LPG as auto gas. More and more people have started using LPG as an autofuel for their vehicles. LPG as an autofuel reduces emissions from motor vehicles, it is cost saving and practical alternative to petrol or diesel. LPG has been powering road vehicles for more than 50 years in Europe. There are around one and half million LPG powered vehicles in Italy and Holland alone and over four million worlwide. In Delhi some people have started using LPG as an auto fuel.
