What is LPG
LPG is obtained through the distillation of oil from crude oil and from "Wet" gas.  When it is pressurised it becomes a liquid and in this form is pumped into the tank.  LPG has higher content of octane.

Properties of LPG .  LPG is heavier than air and will fall or settle if released.
LPG, in a natural state, is non-toxic and invisible, but can displace the air necessary to sustain life.
Commercially available LPG, by law, has an odorant added to facilitate leak detection.  Since LPG is a two-phased (liquid/vapour) fuel, the odor concentration can vary depending on the volume of fuel ramaining in the cylinder.
The properties of LPG must be understood.  They are gases at normal room temperature and atmospheric pressure.  Under moderate pressure they liquefy, vaporizing upon the release of pressure.  It is this property which permits the convenience of transporting these hydrocarbons in concentrated form while normally using them in vapor form.

Released from its liquid state, unignited gas tends to sink to the bottom of an enclosed compartment.   Gas that is diffused throughout the compartment is not readily dispolled by overhead ventilation.  If mixed with air in certain proportions and confined it will explode if ignited.  In its gaseous state LPG presents a fire and explosion hazard.

USE of LPG as auto gas.  More and more people have started using LPG as an autofuel for their vehicles.  LPG as an autofuel reduces emissions from motor vehicles, it is cost saving and practical alternative to petrol or diesel.  LPG has been powering road vehicles for more than 50 years in Europe.   There are around  one and half million LPG powered vehicles in Italy and Holland alone and over four million worlwide.

In Delhi some people have started using LPG as an auto fuel.  In Goa too some vehicles have been converted for LPG use.  Contact Global Gas if you are looking for your vehicle conversion to LPG use.
