Disney: Not Just For Kids Anymore

For years the Walt Disney World Resort has been thought of as the place to bring the family, as a place for children. In recent years there has been an increasing number of couples visiting Disney without children.

From the fairy-tale majesty of Cinderella's castle to the worldly romance of Epcot's World Showcase, from MGM's romantic stage adaptations of Beauty and the Beast and The Hunchback of Notre Dame to Animal Kingdom's gorgeously landscaped natural beauty. Disney is becoming known as a wonderfully and wildly romantic vacation spot that rivals any other romantic destination.

And then there are the Resorts. Romance pours from the waterfalls of the Polynesian's lobby and Coronado

Springs' fountained courtyards. Dixie Landings and Port Orleans have wonderful walking paths along dark, flowing canals reminiscent of the bayous while Disney's Boardwalk has an authentic boardwalk complete with games, restaurants and nightlife. For the height of romance there is the Grand Floridian's Victorian splendor and the Contemporary's rooftop lounge which overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon.

But, that's not all the romance Disney has in store for couples. At Downtown Disney there is a collection of eclectic restaurants, night clubs and shops all nestled around a picturesque lake with plenty of interesting sights, hideaways and romance for any loving couple.

What You Will Find on The Disney Romantic
In an attempt to help other romantic souls who are also Disney fanatics we are putting together this site to point out some of the romantic spots we have encountered. There will be restaurant reviews, tips on where to find romantic hideaways, a section on the resort hotels of Disney World and assorted other information geared specifically for the romantic minded.
The Parks In this section we will discuss the major parks of Walt Disney World and point out some of the most romantic restaurants, attractions and spots in each.	The Resorts Disney has put together an outstanding collection of romantic resorts. Here we will talk about them, their restaurants and wonderfully romantic places to be together in and around them.
Downtown Disney Where else can you dance the night away with your loved one at 8 different nightclubs? Disney's Pleasure Island has it all. This section will talk about the clubs, dining, shopping and romance of this magical area.	The Rest of the World There are plenty other opportunities for romance throughout Disney's sprawling World. This is were we will discuss them. From the waterparks to Discovery Island, from the cruising the lakes to cruising the sky on the Monorail.
