This is quite an active game for three couples. There is a goal on each side of the playing field. A couple occupies each goal, and the third couple occupies the space between the goals. This middle space is called "Hell". The game begins by one of the goal couples yelling "Barley". The other goal couple answers with "Break". Both goal couples start running across "Hell" trying to take the hand of the person of the opposite sex from the other team. The couple in "Hell" tries to catch any of the people going across. If somebody is captured before they have a chance to take the hand of an opposite team member, that new couple takes residence in "Hell".
