For new meat or those who really dont get the plot It all started with a janitor named Joel whose bosses, Dr. Clayton Forrester and Dr. Lawrence Erhardt, really didnt like him that much. They decided to shot him into space and force him to watch really bad movies as apart of an experiment. Now, there was a control thing on Satellit of Love (the SOL)that controlled the movies beginning and ending. Well, Joel went and built robots out of the parts to the movie control system. The robots names? Cambot, Gypsy, Crow T. Robot, and Tom Servo. Somehow Dr. Erhardt disappered and Tom's voice box was improved (Tom's voice was changed other wise). Now, later on the Mads (Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank) where plotting to kill Joel and Gypsy over heard their plan. Lucky for Joel that Gypsy found an escape pod under a box of Hamdingers. Joel left the SOL in the escape pod named Deus Ex Machina and landed in Australia. When the Mads heard about this they didnt know who to blame. Lucky for them, Mike came by and was shot up into space where he took Joel's place. TV's Frank was then sent to heaven and left poor Dr. Forrester all by his lonesome. So, he told his mom, Pearl Forrester, that she could come live with him which turned out to be a bad idea. Then, something unexpected happened. Dr. Forrester's project was being underfunded and was forced to pull the plug. This meant no supplies, no power and no oxygen. So, the logical solution: turn into pure energy (which can be done by just concentrating. go on, try it! it's fun!).

A New Beginning (on the Sci Fi Channel) After a while of being pure energy, the crew of the SOL return to find themselves in the year 2525 and the earth is ruled by monkeys. How did it get this way? Mike's relevtives mated with monkeys. Of course this is Mike's fault. Good one Mike. Anywho...moving on. Well, the earth population of humans have been whiped out, but the just now dead Dr. Forrester left his mother, Pearl Forrester, in a deep freeze kinda thing until the apes can bring her back and make her the almighty Lawgiver. Pearl has taken it upon herself to continue her son's legacy by sending up bad movies (which brings the show back into normal fashion). In Nelson fashion, he accedently blows up the planet and Pearl barely escapes in a rocket that looks alot like a VW bus. One of the apes, Prof. Bobo, ends up being a stowaway. They travel to far away planets, meet weirdo characters, such as Observer, Observer, and Observer. One of which would join Pearl and be fondly called Brain Guy. They also meet up with some Romans, and we are introduced to the Nanites, who are good guys (when they aren't on strike) and help fix the old SOL (when they have work order). I'm sure you get the idea. And that's the history of the show up until now. |
