Cover letter and Resume of Gary Hambley
To whom it may concern
I am experienced with various components of photography, computer graphics and the imaging industry, and take pride
in my abilities and professional manner. I believe it is my obligation to be on time, on budget and prepared to
meet any challenge.
In mid January 2000, I interviewed for the Web Director position with "The New Jersey Devils" of the
NHL. While coming in second best, it is still a major accomplishment on many levels to get to that level with an
entity such as an NHL Team. Talent recognising talent is very rewarding!
In late February of 2000 I became part of Wacom's "ProStaff Program" and am scheduled for Macworld NYC
in mid July 2000. I was brought in by MetaCreations to do the New Media Show in Toronto June 2 - 4, 1999. I was
also the designer/artist employed by MetaCreations to demo the rollout of Kai’s Power Tools 5 in Toronto December
1998.
I have also done two complete corporate brandings in the last 7 months. Design By Larissa a catering company in
Chicago http://www.designbylarissa.com and "Something Special" a gift basket company in Brampton Ontario. Currently getting a small
business off the ground with there brand and web presence, http://go.to/waxwicker
My qualifications include proficiency with Photoshop, MetaCreations applications and PowerPoint. I have extensive
experience in web imagery and site design using Symantec's Visual Page. Some experience with Quark, Illustrator
and Page Maker.
I believe in this age it is easier, faster and more cost effective to maintain a web folio and gallery for viewing.
A sample of my web design, graphic capabilities, creative flair and writing skills can be viewed at my online Gallery
and Portfolio.
I am confident your organization would benefit from my expertise and creative abilities. I look forward to discussing
an employment opportunity with you at your earliest convenience.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
My prime photographic focus is on wildlife, scapes and sports. Each offers different challenges to the eye and
perspective. Light, shadow, texture and depth that bring a piece to life are incredibly alluring. The photo digital
and straight digital pieces stimulate another area of my imagination and creative side.
Faces and eyes have a special fascination for me and appear frequently in my pieces. Creations of illusion and
fantasy. Most have usually begun life as one of my photographs.
Wildlife and creature movement offers significant challenge and significant reward. Capturing a creatures movement
and expression in my photography is one of my favourite activities and best assets. In a controlled setting, having
my photographs of a creature appear to be wild is a skill I’m very proud of.
Scape photography has a different challenge. Getting the shot that makes an individual desire to see the place
for them selves. Giving the feeling that this is a place "I have to see". Adding a digital touch to a
scape photograph for a change of perspective has been known to happen on a rare occasion.
Sport has always been a passion, to play, watch and capture! From the players to the stadiums and arenas. Speed,
power and athletic grace. Emotion of those playing the game. Photographic and photo digital are for the most part
even creations in this forum.
Appearing eccentric has far greater value than being so!
