The First Two Raptor Games
The First Two Raptor Games... (February 8, 1999)

Ok, tell me this...up by 14 with 8 minutes left and then lose? I guess you can change the actors but the plot stays the same.

What ever happened to simple plays. Pick and rolls. Maybe even a pick, if the roll is too hard. How about John Wallace, the Raptors best offensive talent? He's so far down in Carter's dog house he must be eating milk bones. Why play Mark Baker? Does he have pictures of Glen Grunwall with a donkey? When Dee Brown plays point, well, why does he? If I didn't know it before, I do now, he has no point guard skills. He should be playing two when he's in there and McGrady or Christie should be handling point guard duties. Brown can come off screens for a jumper but can't create his own offense.

At least they beat Boston in the opener. Carter must have not wanted to tip his hand with the two exhibition games. Kevin Willis was great. Oakley was equally useful. No Willis in the second game. No win. I guess that's the thing. Post game good.
