New Church Plant in "Calderon"

This new church plant has been started by one of the graduates of the Bluefields Bible School. Pastor Faustina (Left Photo: center)came up through the church felt a call to serve and began studying in the Bible School. While she was studying she started a small group which has grown into a large network of small groups throughout the city. She later became an associate pastor at the New Jerusalem Church where the Bible school is located. Later after she graduated the Bible School program she heard about the people in Calderon and God spoke to her heart to go plant a church there.

She left the city of Bluefields to live and work in a very rural area. She has seen great things happen. While Ginnette and visited the church the first half of the service was filled with singing and testimonies. Several passed in front to share how God had changed their lives through the new church and pastor Fuastina’s ministry. Many of the people walk over two hours to be in the services. The church is meeting on borrowed property under a plastic roof behind an old abandon wood house. We are praying for a new piece of property to purchase and the construction of a new church building there.

New Church Plant in "Sandy Bay"

“A Soldier and later a Fisherman, to Soldier for God and Fishermen of the lost.” Abner finally woke up after three days of unconsciousness from being wounded. When he finally came to he discovered he was lying next to the grave that his fellow soldiers had dug for him, because they thought Abenr was going to die. Years later Abner was living his hard life as a fishermen going to sea for 40 days at a time. When Abner would come to shore Pastor Marcos from our first church plant would minister to him. It was under Pastor Marcos that Abner accepted the Lord and then later started attending the Bible School and then traveling to Sandy Bay, a Miskkito Indian village. Abner has now graduated from the Bible School and his church is growing in Sandy Bay.

Church Plant in "Nueva Guinea" Firmly Established and Growing

One of our Bible School Graduates Pastor Mercedes and her family have started a new church in Nueva Guinea. They have been working for two years. Last report they had five home groups started, a new believer’s being added to the church. Thanks to three Korean churches in New York we were able to purchase property and put up an evangelistic tent and began holding services.

March '07 two great teams came and joined together with one purpose to build a permanent building for this new church. Within three weeks the new building was up. Griffin Assembly of God from Georgia came first and erected a steel frame building with the roof. The second team came from the other side of the US in Southern California. This team was made up of many churches headed by the Assemblies of God District Royal Ranger ministries. This team brought 22 men who worked tirelessly laying block and pouring cement. Both teams did an incredible job! Although, they were from very different places and never met each other they worked in unity sacrificing time, finances and labor for this common purpose of establishing a new church.

Now there is a church that will minister to the community for generations to come. Lives will be rescued and countless numbers will find hope in Jesus Christ!

Church Makeover on Little Corn Island

North Hills Church from Brea, CA came for one week to Little Corn Island and built an 1800 sq ft church replacing the existing older inadequate facility. This team under the leadership of Pastor Doug Green made an impact that will last for generations. Thank You NHC team!

A Big Miracle for Little Corn Island!

The area of the South Eastern Coast of Nicaragua is known for the drug runners transporting their cargo from Colombia to the US. Many times if they are being chased by the Coast Guard they will throw their cargo overboard or run their boat on shore and leave their cargo of drugs. This is becoming a real problem; many people will find the drugs and then sell them to other drug traffickers. Thanks to the team from Feed The Hungry & Victory Church Intern Ministry all the materials to build the church on Little Island arrived a week earlier then planned. The following week a boat full of drugs was left on shore and many of the Islanders found their score. If the materials would have arrived after the drugs, then rumors would have been spread that the church had found drugs and sold them ruining the reputation of the Pastor and the leadership of the church. God knows the future and is able to guide our path.

Two New Churches in February

Thanks to SCDC Royal Ranger Path Finders and Liberty Christian Center of Bakersfield we now have two new churches built in Santa Rita and San Francisco. Both these communities are in hard to reach areas along the river. We have been praying and planning these construction projects for about three years. What a blessing to see these two visions realized. One of the pastor’s wives said to the congregation that it was like a dream that the teams were here but it wasn't a dream but real and they were thanking God for His answer to their prayers!
