Akemi is apart of the Looney Gang, that's why. She torments Godai by sleeping at his place and parties with the others there all the time, which is cool (to an extent). Akemi is seen drunk a lot and is known to try to flaunt her looks to get Godai's attention. Honestly, I don't think she can help it. Although she contributes to making his life miserable, she supports him. In fact she feels sorry for poor pathetic Godai and tries to help out every once in a while. She's a waitress at a pub called Cha Cha Maru and is another MI female infatuated with Mitaka Shun. She's calculating a way to get him, or to make Kyoko just fall in love with Godai so that Mitaka would want her instead. May sound horrible, but hey, she's not the first person who's done it. Akemi is seen intoxicated a lot, but then again, who isn't on Maison Ikkoku? She flirts with many men but never has really settled down in a long term relationship. This is because she doesn't think any man is good enough for her. As bitchy as that seems, that's real Chica-ism right there. She has such a low placement because I barely ever see her! Of the episodes of MI i've seen i barely saw her, but I knew she was cool, so I thought, "What the hey, I should make her number ten!" |
