In the Name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful

As-Salaamu Alaykum!
My name is Fatimah. I made this site in hopes that non-Muslims around the world may gain a better understanding of my faith, and my way of life, Islam. Currently there are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world. Islam means peace and total submission to the will of Allah (God). Thank you very much for visiting my page. I hope that you will drop in again soon, Insha Allah (God-Willing).

I have many hopes and aspirations- Insha Allah first and foremost, I hope to become a better Muslim. I want to be like Fatimah (Peace be upon her) the youngest and most beloved daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) Click here to find out why! Promise you won't be sorry. I have always wanted to visit the holiest sites of Islam, Mecca and Medina and make my pilgrimage (Hajj) with my family. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah I recently came back from visiting Saudi Arabia in Janurary. The kaaba and the whole mosque surrounding it (Masjid al Haram) was more beautiful than I ever imagined it to be. It was truly an experience of a life time. More on my trip here. Madinah was the most peaceful city I have ever been too. Unfortunately we could not stay too long, but alhamdulillah even though we were only there for seven hours or so, my family was still given a chance to pay our Salaam's to the Prophet near his grave. More on this trip, here.Insha Allah, I want to travel all over the Muslim world to be able to see the beauty of Islam through the people, arts and architecture. Also, Insha Allah, in the near future I would like to have my bachelor's in elementary and masters in Special Education.

Alhumdulillah, Allah has blessed me with a wonderful family whom I love very much. I wish to dedicate this site to them. (Read my little sisters dedication to our brother) May Allah shower his bountiful blessings upon my family, forgive us (he is most forgiving, most merciful )and keep us on the straight path, to Jannah. Ameen.

To the young brothers and sisters, I especially ask you to visit my articles page and read about some of the relatives and companions of the Prophet whose whole lives' were a jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Ali, Abu Bakr, Fatimah, Khadijah, Bilal, Hafsa etc. Peace be upon them all, should be our role models growing up, not any new celebrity icons that come and go in this entertainment-crazed world. I urge you to represent your Islam in every walk of life. The experiences that I have faced as a Muslim girl have not always pleasent but sure enough, you better believe that these experiences have made me stronger in my Iman (faith). Please remember to check out the beautiful poems on hijab that I have in the poems section. Don't let anyone hurt your pride, have faith in Allah and your ultimate reward in the end is with Him, Insha Allah! :)

My first love is absolutely most definately Islam. I also love shopping, reading, eating, travelling, cooking (depends on what kind of food actually-I love Italian) spending time with my family, friends and relatives, and watching sports. Oh yeah, I am a major sports fan. Couldn't you tell? :)The NY Knicks are my favorite NBA team. My father thinks basketball is just a waste of my time, but I like to think that I balance my time between Islamic activities, my studies and "fun" quite well. ;)Some of my petty dislikes would be studying, bad scarf days, bad professors, mean people, rural America, and any rival to the Knicks. I try to keep that to the minimum. :)

I have a twin sister, her name is Maryam. We are kinda, sorta, really close. (She should feel pretty special that I have dedicated this paragraph to her!) We are attending school together and are majoring in the same field. We are so close that we insist on being in the same classes. (It's not our intention to drive our professors crazy). We are very competitive when it comes to school grades, but we always end up with the same grade point average. The support we give each other by being together (especially in school) is such a great advantage for us. I can't imagine what life would be like if I was twinless, maybe not as fun. ;0) Maryam would love for you to go check out our page on Islam, actually, so would I. (Not that I work on it anymore. ;))The Beig Twinz' Homepage on Islam.

Special thanks to my little sisters who helped me so much with the html (designing) of this Islam page. I hope you enjoy your stay. Please be sure to visit my favorite inspiring quotable quotes! Jazak Allah Khair. Wasalaam. :)

Defer not tomorrow to be wise, tomorrow's sun to thee may never rise.
