A few things about Clara Bow:
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1906.
Clara's career began when Clara submitted her picture to a fame and fortune contest in a screen magazine and won a film role in the movie Beyond the Rainbow.
Clara's mother was mentally ill and had attempted to kill her daughter, Clara's father had raped her. Clara's life was anything but easy and acting provided an escape route.
Clara Bow was Hollywood's "It" girl.
