In this hilarious London crime thriller, a young mate tries for a big score during a card game with a mobster but ends up 500 grand in debt. He convinces his small-time crimminal mates to help him settle the debt by stealing the loot from the guys next door. There are many unexpected twists and turns in this Pulp-Fictionesque movie, with slick street-smart dialogue and accurate portrayal of the seedy London underground which makes it even more entertaining.

Matthew McConaughey is the oridnary, beer swilling guy chosen to have his life filmed on live tv. Anything and everything goes as the funny McConaughey becomes an unwilling star, while trying to remain the normal guy that he is. Chaos ensues as the attention on McConaughey, his girlfriend (Elfman) and his family turns unpleasant. Degeneres and Harrelson turn in strong performances.

McKellan falls in love with his tough-guy gardener, Brenden Fraser who turns down his advances and the two develop a great friendship. Lynn Redgrave steals every scene as Whale's stern but loving housemaid.
