goo goo dolls
I checked out the Philadelphia show 10.28.99 and it definitely kicked ass. No Goo encounters this time. Come on no one can be THAT lucky, ha. So, I dragged my best friend Jen to the show who's never seen a Goo show. Doesn't she looked excited in the picture below? Anyway, we got to the Apollo after all of the MP3 bands finished which I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to catching FONO again. They kicked ass at the Loudonville show. So, after sitting through another boring set from Tonic, I began to move toward the front. This crowd was way calmer than the Loudonville show. I made my way with little problem to about the 2nd row. I had a great view directly between John & Robby's mikes.
The Goos finally came out playing Dizzy around 9:40 and the crowd went nuts. The crowd for this show seemed to include a lot of long-time fans since I noticed a lot more people around me singing the older songs, which made the show even better.

It was all about the music that night. The version of Cuz You're Gone with Thousand words was awesome. The set list was as follows: Dizzy, Long Way Down, Lazy Eye, Slide, There Your Are, Full 4Ever, Black Balloon, Bullet Proof, Naked, Name, January Friend, Cuz You're Gone (with Thousand Words), Broadway, 2nd Time Around, Flat Top, Acoustic #3, Iris, Just The Way You Are, Burnin Up, Hate This Place, 2 Days in February. So, another great Goo show. Here are just a few of the great shots I got at the show.
