In 1887 he married Ollie Mae BLANKENSHIP in Arkansas. Joseph and Ollie Mae had 13 children: Joseph William; Twin Boys; James Madison, Ollie Mae, Thomas Isaiah (Joe); Robert Frank; George Nelson; Mattie Elizabeth, Charles Smith; John Albert (Abb); Helen Nora; and Henry Buck 6. Joseph William (Willie), son of Joseph Isaiah (5) and Ollie Mae Blankenship PEARCE, was born Nov. 23, 1887 in Appleton, Searcy, AR. Willie married Ivy Lee MURPHREE in OK in 1908. After marrying, they moved to Harmon, OK where they raised their family. They later moved to South Texas. Ivy attended school in Bushnell OK for about 4 years. Her family arrived in Durant in Dec. 1906. Willie died as a result of head injury caused by falling into a grain elevator while working in West Texas. James Madison, son of Joseph Isaiah (5)and Ollie Mae Blankenship PEARCE, was born Dec. 12, 1889 in Searcy, AR. James worked for a while as a farmer but decided that wasn't what he wanted. He worked for the Railroad as a telegrapher. James married Sidney Virgil BOWLES 20 Sept. 1908 in Calera, Bryan. OK. James and Sidney and children moved to Childress, Childress, TX. after their home in Wapanucka burned where he went to work for West Central Texas Electric. James married Sidney Virgil Bowles Sept. 20, 1908 in Calera, Bryan, OK. James died March 20, 1930 in Childress, Childress, TX after a botched surgical procedure to repair an ulcer. One of my earliest memories of Aunt Mae was the delicious buttermilk that she prepared on a farm outside of Calera.Ollie is buried in Highland Cemetery, Durant, Bryan, OK. Henry Buck, son of Joseph Isaiah (4) and Ollie Mae Blankenship Pearce, was born April 21, 1915 in Brown, Bryan, OK. He married Mary Elmer Roebuck July 4, 1936. Henry died Feb. 22, 1972 in Coweta, OK. Othear Thomas Pearce, son of Willie (6) and Ivy Lee Murphree Pearce, was born Oct.9, 1910 in Durant, Bryan, OK. He married Margaret Ryan in 1930. Othear died March 21, 1937. He married Alma Sawey July 8, 1931 in the Baptist Church at Choate, TX, Charles died July 11, 1974 in Karnes City, Tx. Alma died April 9, 1981 in Karnes City, Tx. Ishmael Frank, son of James Madison (7) and Sidney Virgil Bowles Pearce, was born Jan. 15, 1912 in Wapanucka, OK. He married Edythe Pearle Dailey 4 April 1932 in Madill, OK. Edythe died Jan. 8, 1979 in Waco, McClellan, TX and is buried at Whitney Cemetery, Whitney, Hill, TX. Issue: Jacquelynne, Charlynne and Glenda Ann. Frank is retired and is living in Whitney TX enjoying his life with his second wife, Mary Lou Stark Green who he married August 1979. 22.
