Horse Show Checklist.....
Two weeks prior:
Send show apparel to dry cleaners
Focus on what course/test you will be riding in the show
Gather updated vaccination/coggins records
Send in show registration materials
One week prior:
Pick up show apparel from dry cleaners
Re-stock emergency kit (for you and your horse)
Practice show courses/test
One day prior:
Go for a light hack
Groom/bathe your horse well
Clean tack and boots
Bed trailer, fill haynets, add water buckets
Braid and clip your horse (if necessary)
Get a good night's sleep!
Day of show:
Eat breakfast
Arrive to the barn early
Wrap your horses' legs
Load car or trailer with tack, boots, jacket, helmet, cooler
Load horse and have fun!
