The Baboon is a species of the monkey; ranging from
20 to 40 inches in body length. They have long dog-like muzzles and
live on the ground more than in the trees. They live in groups with
the males gaurding the females and the children. They are very powerful and brave fighters, and can even chase off the leopards if
they are threatening a member of the group. There is usually an
ongoing warfare between the different clans or species of the baboons.
The Rhinoceros is a very large and clumsy animal. It has one horn on
it's head and has even been known occasionally to have two horns. The
Rhino is very short-sighted and bad tempered and will charge without
any justification. In India they believe that the Rhinoceros horn has magical powers and will drink from the horn.
The Rhinoceros is another animal that is on the endangered species
list. There are only 5 species of Rhino's with only a few from each
species that are still alive. The Rhinoceros was killed for the selling of their horns. In certain parts of Africa they will actually
saw the Rhino's horn off in order to deter hunters from killing them
off.
