Isabella C. Warden, d/o Sampson Warden and Elizabeth Allen, was b.April 08, 1834, COCH., d.May 10, 1921 COLUM. She m.Michael Stoner on Nov.22, 1853, in Bucyrus, CRAW (he b.March 10, 1825, COCH, d.December 08, 1903, Homer, Calhoun Co., PA, s/o David Stoner and Margaret Minnich). Obituary of Isabell (Warden) Stoner
Mrs. Arch W. Smith received word of the death of her grandmother, Mrs. Isabel C. Stoner, which occurred at 6:45 o'clock Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S.E. Jones in Columbus, where she has made her home for the past ten years. The remains will be brought to Crestline this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:45 and funeral services will be held from I.G. Foster's funeral parlors on East Bucyrus Street at 3:30 o'clock, Rev. Wm.F. Haldstab officiating.
Mrs. Stoner's death was due to a gradual decline incident to old age. She was aged 89 years, one month and two days, having been born in Coshocton County, the youngest of a family of thirteen children. Her girlhood days were spent in Leesville and she has a number of nieces and nephews in this vicinity.
After her marriage about seventy years ago she came to Crestline and resided in the same home at the corner of East and South Streets for almost sixty years, going to Columbus ten years ago. She was the mother of seven children, three of whom survive: Mrs. S.E. Jones, Mrs. J.E. Cochran, and John Stoner, all of Columbus. She also leaves four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stoner was one of the first members of the Presbyterian Church in this city and she has always remained firm in that faith. She will be kindly remembered by many Crestline people who knew her intimately and admired her.
