We would like to extend our sympathy and offer some relief for your anguish and sorrow over your loss. Please accept these verses, comments and prayers as consolation straight from the heart. May God comfort you in your terrible loss.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 2 Corinthians 2:3-5

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". Therefore will I boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. I Corinthians 12:9-10

Father God we lift up this grieving and troubled family to you tonight. Comfort them as only you can. Let light come into this darkness and give them your peace. AMEN

The Lord said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake, came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. I Kings 19:11-12

Praise the Lord, after the wind, the earthquake and the fire, came the Lord in a gentle whisper! Praise the Lord for His gentle whispers! Speak softly to our hearts tonight and fill us with your love and peace!

For to be sure, he [Christ] was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you. 2 Corinthians 13:4

Our weaknesses only serve to let Jesus strength shine through us! We exchange our weakness for His strength! What a deal! When we rely on God's power instead of our own puny human strength, how mighty we are in Christ Jesus!

Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth, burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. Isaiah 49:13

O God thank you for your compassion in our afflictions. Thank You for the strength to overcome our weakness. Thank You Lord for the wisdom to understand who Jesus is. In Jesus name. AMEN

But this is what the LORD says: "Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children will I save. Isaiah 49:25

Jesus I claim this verse for my family! AMEN

Father Dear, so many are grieving tonight! We know that your heart of compassion is towards those who grieve. Help this dear family who are in such sorrow. Bring them the comfort of knowing that their loved one is in your loving hands. Give them peace Father we pray. In Jesus Name AMEN

The ransomed of the LORD will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 51:11

Father let gladness and joy over take those who are in mourning tonight and let sorrow and sighing flee away!

For this is what the LORD says: "I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the LORD will be made known to his servants... Isaiah 66:12-14

Father wrap your mother arms of love around the hurting and grieving tonight, comfort them as a mother comforts a child and bounces them on her knee. Make their hearts rejoice and cause them to FLOURISH. AMEN

But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus, and not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever. 2 Corinthians 7:6-7

God comfort those who are downcast tonight, send someone to comfort them, to express their deep sorrow and ardent concern, so that they may joy even in the depths of mourning. In Jesus Name AMEN

Father, thank You for Your comfort in our times of sorrow. Thank You Lord, for Your helping hand in our times of need. Thank You God for Your compassion to us when we suffer sickness or injury.

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do and I will not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry "Abba, Father". Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:15-18

GLORY! Praise God! AMEN

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as your trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

God may your hope fill us and flow to us and through us to all we meet.

Grace - Forgiven! O God, it has been called the most beautiful word in our language. I know it is the greatest word in my heart, the strongest support for my spirit, the deepest well for my joy. I am forgiven not little but much. Not once but often. Not partially but completely. Not according to my merits but according to your mercy. Forgiven and loved, may I be forgiving and loving. In the Name of Him whose forgiving love was, is, and ever shall be inexhaustible, Amen.

Bless all who have gathered here tonight Lord to bless your name. Strengthen them and help them to draw even closer to you. Give them the desires of their heart as they delight in your ways. In Jesus Name AMEN

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:7-10

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is unseen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Be encouraged. Don't lose heart! Fix your eyes on the eternal.
God bless you.
