Minako's Kenshou Dojo Site FAQ

This Site FAQ just covers the basics of the site. If I, for some reason, don't manage to cover any questions you might have about my site in here, please feel free to ask.

"KENSHOU DOJO"? and "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD PAGE?!"

You're probably saying to yourself right now, "what the heck kind of title is THAT?" Well, for starters, it's a lot more original then "Minako's Fanart". I've noticed that all the good artists have really awesome web page titles, and I figure that if I want to ever be considered a 'good artist' (you know, one of those people whose link is found on EVERYONE'S page), I'd better change the title and look of the page (despite all the compliments and encouragement I've gotten on the old page's design.) I wanted to go for something both totally original, and Japanese. While I was wracking my brain for ideas, I thought about a piece of artwork I had done a year ago that involved a girl cleaning her katana inside her dojo, and upon the wall was a tapestry that said (in kanji) "Kenshou Dojo". Note: 'Kenshou' is my family name (last name). As for the new design of the page, well, it's certainly going to make updates all that more difficult, but if it pleases and earns me more visitors, then I guess it's worth it.

UPDATES

I don't have any set dates for future updates. I update when I have the time. Generally, I won't let a month go by without an update, but hey, things happen, ya know? To make it easier for you, I've placed new fanart at the top of each section and marked it with a NEW.

THE SECTIONS

Most are pretty self-explanatary, but I'll go over a few anyways.

Obviously, the links along the top and left side of the page will take you to the different areas of my art gallery. Original Art is where I put my original characters and art. All the other sections contain my fanart.

Free talk: Found on many a Japanese home page, this is simply the section where I'll be babbling. If you feel like discussing anything I might bring up under free talk, feel free to email me about it.

The How to is my section where I go into detail about how I do certain parts of my art work. Please email me with suggestions of what I should do. (do you want tutorials on how to draw the human figure, eyes, hair, coloring, what?)

Japanese guide: tells you the meaning of all the japanese words/phrases on this page, and then some. I highly recommend checking it out, espescially if you don't know what hentai, ecchi, or yaoi mean.

My Anime Inventory is just a list of the anime videos and cds I own. (This is NOT a fansub page, so if you're looking for that, look elsewhere.)

The gift page is where I put all the gifts I recieve from my wonderful visitors. Yep, someone actually gave me a gift. ^___^ I also place gifts that I give to others on this page.

REQUESTS

I'll gladly do any requests you want. Be sure to use the guest book in order to voice your requests so my mail box doesn't get flooded. Thanks. And please don't be angry if I don't do your request, or take a long time to do it. Keep in mind that I have school to attend (I have three AP classes to deal with. o_O), and a job. Basically, if I find time to do artwork, I'm going to do what I want to do. Also, please keep in mind that if I do get around to drawing your request, it's for your personal viewing pleasure only. (i.e. You may not slap it on your webpage and call it yours or anything of that nature.) It's only a drawing on my page that you specifically asked me to draw.

COMMISSIONS

I'll do commissions.. (that means you pay me to do work for you) email me if you're interested and I'll send you the detailed info. ^_^ The following is a list of the types of commissions I will do: anime and manga style artwork, both hentai and non-hentai. sketches, website design and web graphics, comic strips and comic books, logos and Corporate Image, album / CD cover art, character designs

LINKING

"Can I link to this site?" Of course! This page is link free! ("Link free" is another japanese phrase which means that you can link to a site without needing to ask first) Though, it's nice if you tell me, so I'll feel warm and squishy inside because someone actually wanted to link to my page. ^.^

"Will you link my really cool awesome page (that actually sucks, or has nothing to do with anime/manga style art), please?" No. I don't care how nicely you ask, I'm not going to put up a page just because you want me too. I know that might sound harsh, but the sites I include on my links page are sites I personally enjoy and want to share with others. If you think that I might find your site enjoyable, sign the guest book and/or fill out the comment form.. there's a place where you can enter your URL on both of those, and I'll be sure to take a look.

REGARDING ASKING PERMISSION TO USE MY PICS

No, you may not use my images, so please don't even bother asking. I'm flattered that you would want to, but it's hard enough to keep track of everyone who does so, and I really don't see a reason for my artwork to be on your page, when people can just as easily see it here.

AOL INSTANT MESSAGES

When I'm online, I usually have a reason to be online. I hate it when people I don't know instant message me and then get mad when I don't respond because I'm busy. I'm hardly ever online with the intention of talking. If you really feel the need to contact me, EMAIL me. I love emails, and I tend to be a lot friendlier in email. (And if you become 'buddies' with me, then I'll be more then happy to talk to you through instant messages. ^_^)

And don't even THINK about IMing me to nag me about doing a request for you. A few people have done that in the past, and as a result, I haven't done their requests.

PROCLAMATIONS OF LOVE

I have received in the past emails from guys saying stuff like, "I'm in love with you, Minako", "I'm going to be in Florida on vacation. Can I meet you somewhere?", "Hi my name is such and such, I'm an 18 year old male from Germany." Sweet and simple: I'm NOT INTERESTED!!!
