If you are anything like me, you have a large number of allergies and adverse reactions to just about anything. It can be rather frustrating but there are ways around it.First, total isolation from mild to moderate allergins is unhealthy. You can build up a resistance to them over time. Now, you'll always be allergic to them, but it won't hit you as hard.
The second thing to do is look for "safe exposures". Ok, you're allergic to pollen and dust... There are a good number of house plants that produce minimal to no pollen - and some even flower!
The dust, on the otherhand, is another case entirely. I suggest dusting or spritzing the leaves of any plants in your house on a weekly basis. (Of course, I never get around to doing this... )

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Spider | Airplane | Any/Moderate to High | Once a week or when the leaves turn white | Yes. It takes about 3 weeks for the leaves to turn white. ^_- | small white scentless flowers | Propagates via "spiderlings" or "airplanes", baby plants on shoots hanging down from the mother plant. Simply clip one that has roots and either set in water for further root growth or plant directly. Fast and Hardy grower. Prefers being in hanging pots. Never a single plant in a pot, but always a "colony". It's best to mix the plants with white inside and white outside in the same pot. |
