Rainey?  Who is this chick?

Rainey, the chick in question, would be me.  I am thirty-something year old displaced Brooklynite who empathizes with Mulder and Scully's dilemma with basement dwelling.  I am reining monarch and hostess of the Krycek clone island, general Sci-Fi nut and alleged smart ass to boot.  I am a fan of Star Trek in all of its forms except Voyager, Highlander and The X-Files.  Right now my obsessions lie in the Highlander and X-File realm.  (Because as my profile says, the alternative is unthinkable and reality is highly overrated.)  I still love Star Trek but with Deep Space Nine going off the air I will not have anything Star Trek related to feed my obsession.  That is to say I don't wish to work with it as far as fanfiction is concerned and it doesn't work with my current fanfic universe.

Speaking of fanfic, I, like many a fan, write fanfiction but I tend to lean towards crossovers.  I like to combine my obsessions into one neat little package.  Besides I am not the first Highlander fan to say “You know, headless bodies and unexplained electrical phenomena sound just like an X-File.”

Non Sci-Fi interests include James Bond, cross stitching and books in general.  I am known to have an odd assortment of pet peeves which have been fodder for rants when tweaked.  I try to appear sane when out in public.  People who know me don't seem to buy it.

I can be found in MSN's Science fiction and fantasy chats usually around 1am EST as I work nights.  I am also a frequent poster to the MSN X-Files forum.  If you see Rainey, Wav_Queen, or Kryceks_Chica you have spotted me.  Although my appearances seem to be increasingly brief.  I tend to moof a lot.  What does “moof” mean?  Click here to find out.

I am also an unabashed Ratgirl.  Mulder's nice but give me Krycek any day.  Why?  Click here to read why.

I've recently installed PGP on my computer.  Anyone who has and wants my public key should look me up at PGP Certificate server.  I'm under RaineyB.  If you have any trouble e-mail me and I'll send it to you.
