Some Masonic Body Signs
These are some Masonic body signs.

1) Right hand grabbing the left bicept forming a right angle on the square there by, with the thumb of the right hand tucked inside and the left hand tucked inside, overlapping the outside of the right armpit. This position says that one has a strong desire and the control there by.

2) Left hand grabbing the right bicept forming a left angle on the square there by with the thumb of the left hand tucked inside and the right hand overlapping the outside of the arm with the whole right hand tucked under the left armpit. This position says that one has a strong grip on feeling and control there by. (2nd degree)

3) Arms overlapping with the right hand grabbing the left bicept with the thumb inside and with the left arm overlapping the outside of the right bicept with the thumb tucked inside. This is the position which signifies that one has a strong grip on both desire and feeling and using the square to prove that all desires and feelings are made straight and in right relation to each other. This is the sign of the "Master Builder". (3rd degree)

4) Arms overlapping with left hand gripping the right bicept with the thumbs inside and with the right arm overlapping the thumb inside with the right arm gripping the outside of the left forearm and the right hand extending up. The thumb is representing the self and your people. This position is the "Greeting Hailing Signal" of the York Knights (Blacks on the left side, Scottish on right).

5) Arms overlapping, the right over the left arm, both hands placed under each armpit with the thumbs of both hands raised and kept outside. This position says that "one stands to be tried and tested and challenges anyone to try him again and again".

6) Both hands placed in front pants pocket in a clenched fist position signifies that "one has control of and a firm grip on self and the lower life forms".

7) Right hand in front pants pocket in an unclenched hand position signifies that "one is holding back the truth".

8) Left hand in front pants pocket in an unclenched position signifies that "one is holding back evil".

9) Right thumb used to brush across the lips means to bow down to; to become submissive to will of the one giving the sign. This is done in an up and down motion, not across.

10) Right thumb used and placed inside the mouth in a sucking fashion signifies that you are still growing in the knowledge of masonary and self and therefore need protection and more light.

11) Left hand, four fingers stuck in the left side, front waist; bending with the thumb exposed is the sign of a master.

12) Both hands gripping front side of belt buckle with the hands clenched and the thumb tucked inside of the pants or generally hidden means that you have a strong grip on your lower nature.

13) Both hands on the waist and feet spread apart (on square) with seven fingers showing three on the right side and four on the left means that you are a seer on God.

14) Right hand thumb and forefingers showing symbolizes that you are a master of mason.

15) Both hands tucked inside of pants and fingers inside with the two thums exposed and both hands and thums forming a symbol of an upside-down pyramid symbolizes the apron of an entered apprentice who has yet to control his lower self with rightness and reason.

16) Right or left hand four fingers cover private parts with the thumb in front of waistband means, "I have all parts covered."

17) If he has his left hand four fingers tucked inside of the front waistband of his pants, also as in example two, this is saying that he is the master on point and overseeing the work. If you see him leaning on something with arm extended and gripping something in his hand and his left hand's four fingers tucked inside of the front of his pants, also as in example two, this is saying he is the shepard watching the flock. Also, if you see him cross one foot over the other, align them, one foot in front of the other. This means the master is watching the flock and on point.

18) If you see a mason grip the front buckle as in number twelve, with one hand on the left side (fingers tucked and thumbs hidden) while at the same time he has three exposed on the right side in the form of a wing, he is saying he has a strong grip on reason and he is a master of himself.

19) If you see a mason grip the front buckle with the hand on the right side, fingers exposed on the left side, arm in the form of a wing, he is saying that he has a strong grip on rightness and is a master of himself.
