which had, that same week, been commissioned by Jon, for his own, private collection. What then happened was; that Jon took the piece to a concert in Florida to be autographed by Sir El. He in fact was given a gorgeous, quintessential Elton penning, which was witnessed first-hand by thousands of cheering fans. One of the faithful in attendance that night was our fair lady, who, upon seeing the canvas signed by her most admired troubadour, became enthralled with the idea of having the work for her very own. And although Jon had consigned the quite formidable work with an unquestionably sentimental fervor, fully intending to hold the piece for generations to come, parted with it without a second thought when it was learned just how sincere was our lady's desire, and just how generous she was willing to be in her endeavor to make the piece her own, for as we have mentioned on the site, when a Bloom original, signed by The Man, is purchased by dealer or private collector, a major portion of our proceeds go directly to Elton's AIDS Foundation, currently one of the world's most effective and essential charities. Each of us involved with MODERNARTIST is totally committed to utilizing whatever artistic and administrative abilities we possess to further the cause of this hugely successful force for the betterment of countless thousands of lives resting in the balance.
So, our hats off to Jon Feinberg's unselfishness and unyielding promotional ingenuity, and to our newest and brightest patron of the fine arts, a young woman whose name and face will appear on this page sometime in the near future; along with a photo of her new painting, and some pertinent info regarding Elton's burgeoning
AIDS Foundation.
