Welcome to the MS&K |
|
|
The MS&K is modeled in the late 1960's era. The mainline is mostly code 83 I say mostly because I had a number of unused sections of code 100 left when I moved the railroad to its present location. All sidings, spurs, yards and such are code 83 or code 70 including the harbor town and all though the main town of Kensington. The railroad uses the Card File System to create train orders in which to operate the railroad. I'm pleased to announce that as of October 1st 2004 the railroad has switched over to DCC using the MRC Prodigy Advance System. I run operating sessions once a month and if you happen to be in the New York City area, drop me an email and I'll invite you over. The layout is of point to point design with only one built in run around which is used ONLY for the breaking in of a new locomotive and is not part of the mainline during operating sessions. The layout is attached to the wall with arms to the left and right with a peninsula in the middle. I built this site to share with you the happenings on the railroad both in building and in operating. The mistakes I make and the problems I run into. Always feel free to email me with your comments, problems and suggestions by clicking the mail Link below. I read my mail almost every day so you won't wait long for a answer. Now please move on and enjoy the my site, in that way your looking over the railroad as it moves along. Enjoy the ride and hang on. No arms outside the windows please. |
