Misato Katsuragi The only survivor of the Katsuragi Research Expedition. She is careless, and sloppy at
home, but emotionally insecure. She is extremely afraid of being alone, and more so having to depend on someone. She later joins NERV, as chief of operations. She is the ranking officer after Ranma. |

Also, it has been noted that Mousse does have some of Dr. Katsuragi's DNA, and is perhaps related to Misato. However indirect their family tie is, Misato does welcome Mousse to NERV, but comes to distrusts him when Ikari begins to use him to carry out phases of the Instrumentality project. |
