Formerly known as the “Gehirn” research organization. This is a secret branch of the UN, and has more priority that US forces. The entire organization is headed by Commander Gendou Ikari, and seconded by Vice Commander Ranma Saotome. They answer only to SEELE, whom use NERV, and “Gabriel” to bring about the Human Instrumentality. NERV is the last line of Defense against beings known only as Angels. They also have jurisdiction over Clamp Academy, using it academy as a recruit pool for Evangelions. Mousse returns and only finds that his old friend, Ritsuko, is now loyal to Gendou, as well. NERV is where is own life ends.
