About The Artist

To make a short story long, I'll tell you about bears. I started making large bears 6 years ago after purchasing a pattern. I liked it, but gradually changed the pattern til it was all my own, thus my own teddies were born. I hadn't had alot of luck with big bears :( , but I was determined and hopeful. Two signs of an insane bear artist *g*.

Well, 4 years ago, at the a teddy bear show, the artist next to me talked me into buying a miniature kit (even tho up to that point I loathed making anything under 12"). I got home Saturday nite about 7pm and couldn't put that kit down, I finished it that night. Even tho I didn't have the stitching down just right, or the jointing, that bear had more character than any big bear I had ever made. I never made another full size bear. Within a week, I was wholesaling miniatures and I've never looked back. I love miniature bears, and sometimes I can hardly imagine doing anything else.

I have tons of other interests... In fact, I'm a self-proclaimed eclectic :) I also collect (well, besides bears) crayola tins and old boxes, antique cameras, gargoyles, beanies (forgive me father for I have sinned...hehe), antique cameras, antique baby photos, and tattoo memorbilia. Probably some more junk that I've forgotten. Told ya I'm eclectic :) I'm also into poetry and debate to the death. Plus I have a really wicked sense of humor *eg*, my sole purpose on this earth (well, besides making bears :) is to make you laugh. :D
