I.  Schools and Education

Emily Griffith Opportunity School - Clock/Watch Repair Program.  This is the only Clock Repair instructional course that meets weekly in Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico or Utah.  The classes are held on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Students learn in a self paced environment learning the fundamentals and principles of clock repair.

This site is mainly for kids and laypeople.  It's titled "How Stuff Works".  It gives a non-technical perspective on how a clock works.  http://www.howstuffworks.com/clock.htm.

The British Horological Institute has an index of of hints and tips.  This can be accessed by the general public.  http://www.bhi.co.uk/hints/index.htm .  There are over 100 pages of technical documents for reference.

Clock Case Repair.  A presentation given by Joel Cox at the May 2003 monthly meeting.  This is a list of items useful in successfully restoring a clock case.

An interesting set of links are found when you follow the links in "Indexes, Home Pages" and check out these individuals sites.  what I found are bios of high profile clock restorers and makers in todays world.  I found this very interesting.

http://www.sherline.com is the link for the Sherline Company.  Makers of miniature machine tools and accessories.  What is interesting about this site all thier products are online and very detailed specifics are given.

Metals Galore is a valuable resource for clock related metals.  They sell brass,   copper, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel, and Invar.  They sell it online.   They specialize in small sizes for clockmaking.  They advertise the cheapest prices online and will be carrying the full line of Sherline lathes and accessories.   The link is:   www.metalsgalore.com   and the company name is Metals Galore, the owner is Nick Bristow.

Do it yourself Clocks.  This site http://www.mwimport.com/ sells paper clocks to cutout and assemble.
