About TS STUART

TS STUART is located at the end of Broadmedows Road in Smithfield. We parade two nights a week, Tuesday night 1900 to 2100 (7:00pm to 9:00pm) and Fridays 1830 to 2200 (6:30pm to 10:00pm).

On Tuesday nights, cadets doing specialist training learn what is required to be able to pass a test to get that rate. TS STUART offers three courses, Cooking, Medical, and Quarter Master Gunner.
The cadets doing cooking are aiming to get their cook rating; this entitles them to cook at functions and at camps. PO OSMENT and PO CRAMPTON run the class.
In the medical class cadets are aiming to get their medical rating and their first aid certificate. This enables the cadets to assist in first aid emergencies. SBLT IMMS runs the course.
Cadets doing the quarter master gunner course are aiming to get their QMG rate. This enables the cadets to take charge of the armory, weapons, and parade on Tuesday nights. CPO WAPPLES and PO WATTS run this course.

On Friday nights is when the most cadets are onboard, these nights are when cadets learn what is required for there promotion, and it where the majority of information is transferred, like up coming events.

TS STUART is involved in many community functions. We help at the Garden Island Yatch Club with there catering for events, march in parades like the Salisbury Christmas pageant. Recently we did the Governor-Generals Banner parade down King William Street Adelaide; we also participated in the Navy week church service.
