There is also a unconventional form of hormone treatment, which has worked well for so many women. It is called sub-dermal pellets. These pellets are tiny in size - the size of saccharine tablets. They are placed under the skin, usually in the buttocks, and usually last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. This is a wonderful way to get your hormones without the liver problems, and women seem to have a more consistent hormone level. Few doctors know about this or are willing to do it, but it is available at special compounding pharmacies.
