Joy B Rodriquez was recently admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey. She is the daughter of Tom D Rodriquez, an admistrative law judge for the State of New York. Her father hails from Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. Tom D Rodriguez was admitted to the New York bar 20 years ago. Joy is the seventh graduate of Columbia University from her family line. The organization, which in the past has sent hundreds of books in 4 balikbayan boxes of clothes, toys, sporting goods, books and journals to the town of Solano Nueva Vizcaya.

 Dr Ramonita S Casumpang, barangay conselor and chair of the Family Health Services Center and the Solano Rotary Club, serves as coordinator of the project.

 Last Christmas, the organization financed the construction of a giant 25 ft Christmas tree at the Children's Park in the center of the town to fuel the holiday festivities.

 The Solano USA's humanitarian effort are headed by its officers: Phoebe Cabotaje Andes, Pres, Lolita Tiongson Moore, immediate past pres; Artemio Tiongson, vice pres for New York, Ofelia Buenafe Reteracion, vice pres for New Jersey; Angel Urmaza, vice pres for Long Islands; Teresita Acosta Alviar, rec sec; Cora Manlapig, corr sec; Purita Guarin San Juan, PRO, Alex Mercado, tres; Rudy dela Cruz, past treas and reuben Guevarra, auditor.

 The board of directos is made of Dr Eloisa Acosta Bejasa, Dr Minda Sabado Carpio, Dr Alicia Camacho, Rosario Gutierrez Sison, Dr Santiago Urmaza Jr, and Thomas Rodriquez, Esq, is the organization's legal advisor.
