Aan alle Othello spelers,
Binnenkort wordt het 5e Nederlandse Open Othello toernooi
georganiseerd:
Datum: 11-03-2001
Aanvang: 10:00 (de 1e ronde start om 10:30 precies)
Plaats: het Europese Go en Cultureel Centrum
Schokland 14 Amstelveen (kaart op http://www.othello.nl)
Entree: 20,- (10,- voor beginners,studenten en jongeren)
Indeling: 7 ronden aangepast zwitsers systeem
(niemand valt af, iedereen speelt 7 ronden)
Prijzen: diverse prijzen van onze sponsors:
- DGT Projects (info@dgtprojects.com)
- Mattel NL (www.mattel.com)
prijzen zijn voor de beste spelers en de beste beginners en
de 'lucky loser'
Drinken: alle gebruikelijke soorten drinken zijn verkrijgbaar
Lunch: er is zowel warm als koud eten voor de lunch
verkrijgbaar
Dit is een Open toernooi. Iedereen (uit elk land) is welkom.
Het laatste toernooi, zie http:\\www.othello.nl, was een groot
success. Er waren 28 deelnemers varierend in speelsterkte van
beginner (slechts enkele partijen gespeeld) tot wel 5 WK
gekwalificeerden. Het aangepaste zwitserse systeem garandeert
dat iedereen in elke ronde een passende tegenstander krijgt.
Alhoewel het niet verplicht is stellen we het
op prijs als u van te voren aankondigt dat u komt. U kunt zich
inschrijven door te emailen aan jancg@othello.nl. Ook een
berichtje als u niet komt waarderen wij.
Geeft u deze aankondiging a.u.b. door aan een ieder
geinteresserd in Othello (of Reversi). Als u meer
informatie wilt over hotels, openbaar vervoer of iets anders,
email dan naar jancg@othello.nl.
Het volgende toernooi staat voorlopig gepland op 29-4-2001,
maar daarvoor krijgt u ook een uitnodiging.

Entry: Hfl 20,- (Hfl 10,- for beginners/students/youngsters)
Format: 7 rounds modified swiss (everyone plays all rounds)
(nobody is eliminated, Everyone plays 7 rounds)

Lunch: both warm and cold available
This is an open tournament, so everyone (from every country)
is welcome. The last tournament, see http:\\www.othello.nl, was
a great success. There were 28 players ranging in skill from
beginner (having played only a few games) up to 5 WC qualifiers.
The swiss format used to decide who plays vs. who in each round
ensures everyone plays vs. equally skilled opponents each round.
Though it is not required we would appreciate you telling us
in advance that you'll join. Please email to jancg@othello.nl if
you'll come (or not).
