Ok, so we all know that cannabis is a sight less harmful than alchohol or tobacco, however, unless you live in one of the more enlightened parts of the planet, it is still illegal, so watch how you go.

Having said that, here's a nice little news item that hit the UK press recently, made me laugh a lot.
Nice one mate, but you'd have been better off baking Chas a nice Organic Seed Cake !!

Queen given marijuana bouquet

A PUBLICITY stunt in which the Queen unwittingly accepted a "bouquet" of marijuana was being investigated by police last night .
The Queen was presented with the plant as she attended the opening of The Lowry arts complex in Salford, Greater Manchester, on Thursday. It was handed to her by Colin Davies, 43, a member of the campaign to legalise marijuana for medicinal purposes.

Mr Davies, founder of the Medical Marijuana Co-operative, which supplies cannabis to sufferers of cancer and multiple sclerosis, said yesterday: "The Queen's eyes lit up when she saw the pale yellow blooms. She gave the plant to a chauffeur who put it in the back of the car. I grew the plant myself and this was a harmless way of bringing to the Queen's attention the ludicrous restrictions on cannabis."

Court finds Mr Cannabis guilty of growing dope.

LONDON - A court has found shopkeeper Free Rob Cannabis guilty of growing cannabis plants and possessing a range of drugs including LSD and ecstasy.

He denied possessing all the substances, which were found by police in his shop and house. The 33-year-old shopkeeper changed his name to draw attention to his belief that cannabis should be legalised.

Defending himself, Cannabis told the court that he was a shaman and had an allegiance to the Hindu god Shiva.

"I believe I have the birthright to cultivate and use the cannabis plant for all its uses. I have used all the substances listed, with the possible exception of the MDMA (ecstasy), in a shamanic way," Cannabis told the court in Taunton on Friday.

He also said he had a right to grow and use cannabis under Article Nine of the European Convention of European Rights.

"I may well decide to appeal to a higher court where human rights are regarded," Cannabis said.

The judge has deferred sentencing until he receives a report on Cannabis.
