Individual Biases
Anticipating your bias
In advance of your words.
Does what you observe,
Offend your eyes?
Twin mirrors of condemnation,
Looking upon the face but never into the essence.
Your façade shimmers with the pretense of justification,
While the unknown shapes your prejudices.
With ignorance you claim knowledge,
But yet, does truth not beget wisdom?
You are drowning in a sea of ignorance,
Grabbing onto the rock instead of the branch.
Individual biases, beliefs based in fiction,
While enlightenment is only a thought away.
