16th Sunday

This is a day of arriving and registering participants. To those, who are arriving before, we offer relaxation and recreation in the picturesque town of Pultusk. This day you should get familiar with the program of the Congress.

17th Monday

Sightseeing in Pułtusk

Pułtusk has got a characteristic location on the water, among forests, but also a few interesting architectural monuments. The sightseeing walk is going to introduce you not only to the touristic points, but should also show you useful places in the city, like ATMs, Banks, coffee-shops, souvenir-shops etc.

In the afternoon there is a good occasion to take part in the regional attractions, offered by Dom Polonii in Pultusk. There is for example a trip to “Puszcza Biała” forest by carriage to admire the nature of a virgin forest and return by Castles Gondola on the river Narew.

Sightseeing walk at: 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 a.m.
Puszcza Biała trip at: 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m.,

Meeting point is always at the reception desk of Dom Polonii.

8:30p.m.

    Official welcome in Pultusk for the guests of our Congress with the mayor of the city and local authorities.

9.15 p.m.

    We will enjoy traditional folk music and a typical polish barbecue.
    The band from “Puszcza Biala” will start with a lively performance.

10:15 p.m.

    We will continue the night with the band “Non stop” and a good party.

The whole evening will take place in the Main Market in Pultusk.



18th Tuesday

Sightseeing Warsaw – Old Town, Royal Castle, Historical Museum of Warsaw

8:15 a.m.

    Meeting at the reception desk in Dom Polonii and start from Pultusk by bus

10:00 a.m.

    Visiting of the Royal Castle

The castle is from the 14th century, when King Zygmunt constructed his residence here and moved the capital to Warsaw, The castle was destroyed during the war after the Warsaw Uprising and didn’t undergo reconstruction until 1971. Recreated from old plans and photos, the castle now gleams as it did in its glory days, with gilt, marble and murals. It also houses an impressive collection of period furniture and paintings, including the famous views of Warsaw by Bernardo Bellotto, alias Canaletto.

    Lunch time

1:30 p.m.

    Historical Museum of Warsaw

The museum contains rooms with permanent exhibitions, showing the history of the town from its origins until today. The museum cinema presents an impressive film about the destruction and reconstruction of Warsaw.

2:30 p.m.

    Walking around the Old Town (Stare Miasto) with a guide, who will show you the most vibrant places. The trip takes around one hour.

4:30 p.m.

    Departure back to Pultusk.



19th Wednesday

Visiting Royal Łazienki Park in Warsaw

The Łazienki Park is one of the most beautiful park and palace complexes in Europe. Once a hunting ground attached to the Ujazdow Castle, it was transformed into a splendid park, complete with a palace, an amphitheater and a number of beautiful buildings scattered around.

8:15 a.m.

    Meeting at the reception desk in Dom Polonii and start from Pultusk by bus.

10:00 a.m

    Visit of the “Palace upon the water”

11:00 a.m.

    Guided walking-tour through the park

12:00 a.m.

    Departure back to Pultusk. We will drive back through the “Street of the embassies and parks”.

In the afternoon there is again the possibility to take part in the regional attractions, offered by Dom Polonii in Pultusk. (See sightseeing in Pultusk)

Also you can rent bicycles, play tennis or ask for horseback riding.

9:00 p.m.

    Camp fire with live-music and the “night of the knights”



20th Thursday

Visiting of the Palace Wilanow, the birthplace of Chopin and Chopin-Concert

The Palace Wilanow is 6 km outside of Warsaw, situated in a beautiful park complex from the 17th century. It was the summer residence of King III Sobieski, is a jewel of baroque architecture and is now a museum of palace interiors of 17th, 18th and 19th century.

8:15 a.m.

    Meeting at the reception desk in Dom Polonii and start from Pultusk by bus

10:00 a.m.

    Visit of the Palace Wilanow

11:30 a.m.

    Departure to the birthplace of Chopin (Żelazowa Wola)

1:00 p.m.

    Guided Tour at the birthplace of Chopin

2:00 p.m.

    Open air Chopin-concert in Żelazowa Wola

3:00 p.m.

    Departure back to Pultusk.
 
8:30 p.m.

    Concert of classical music in the church of Pultusk



21st Friday

We recommend visiting the local market in Pultusk.
The market starts early in the morning and is open until 2.00 p.m.
There will be also the opportunity to acquire some handmade crafts close to Dom Polonii.
