THE FAIRY SPEAKS

In a beautiful flower kissed field,
no one around.
I sit there and listen,
I hear an enchanting sound,
From the tiny creek, which trickles away,
I hear the sound beckoning me, calling me to stay.

So I ease to the ground and lay on by back,
And out comes an ant from a teeny little crack.
This little guy was singing the song.

With gossamer wings woven of a baby's first smile,
The little ant flies onto a rock pile.
With a soft leap it is now on my arm,
It can sense that I am peaceful, that I'll do it no harm.

It asks of me if I am of The Wise,
This to me comes as a slight surprise.
But because it is true, I reply with a yes.

And the ant is no longer an ant,
but a beautiful fairy in a dress.
She touches the ground and chants a long chant,
She speaks to me and says
unless you know this, you can't,
Enter the realm of the fairy and learn of the magicks of old.

You can't talk to the Gods
whose secrets need to be told.
I was sent to you
by the Lord and Lady themselves.

Yes, the ones who are
worshiped by Witches, Faries, and Elves.
They are now frantically searching
for protectors of the Earth,
For the people of now
are treating it as if it has no worth.

They tell me that you cried
when you saw a tree die,
They tell me that you won't
even smush a pesky fly.
I have seen that you trust
them with your soul,
This is as it should be
in order for you to be whole.

They want you to come
lead their army of love,
You and all Pagans are gifts
to humanity sent from the stars above.
If you shall join in this task,
There will be some things that
They will ask.

You must do harm to none, including you,
You must have perfect love and perfect trust
because everything They touch
is good and true.

I say of course and reach for her hand,
And all of the sudden,
I'm no longer on land.
If you trust in the Lord and Lady,
they will call you too,
They will call you
to keep their land good and true.
