This is the UNOFFICIAL Road Rover FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Which means I've created this document all on my own (I have no intention or desire to infringe on any copyrights and present this for the sole purpose of fan appreciation) A lot of research has gone into this (I didn't make all this stuff up!) I've collected my information from watching the show, the Warner Brother's Animation Official Web Site, the Voice Actor Page and the Internet Movie Database. Please feel free to look through this FAQ. Thanks for the interest.

QUESTION: What are the "Road Rovers?"
ANSWER: In the real world it is an action/comedy animated show
from Warner Brothers
Animation Television. In the TV world they are an elite team
of crime fighting dogs chosen from around the world. When the
call goes out they rush from their homes (they live with heads of
state around the world) and return to the Master who turns them
into Cano-Sapiens (super charged dogs) The team consists of:
Exile the Siberian Husky from Siberia who has super strength and
vision, Colleen the Collie from England who has super cunning and
agility, Blitz the Doberman from Germany who has super powerful
jaws and claws, Hunter the Retriever from America who has super
speed, Shag the Sheepdog from Switzerland who has, um er
("four out of five is not bad")... Also part of the
team is Muzzle the insane Rottweiler (who is Hunter's buddy and
Shepherd's former pet) and Professor Hubert who is a Bloodhound
who uses his nose like a laboratory. The "Road Rovers"
are for humanity and animals everywhere! They fight for right day
and night (and three meals a day, a rug in front of the fire and
a bath once a week).
QUESTION: How can I let Warner Brothers know how
great, fantastic and wonderful "Road Rovers" are?
ANSWER: There are several ways. The easiest is to jump onto the Warner Brothers Animation Web
Site and shoot them a thank you note in E-Mail. Another way
is to send them a letter U.S. Mail (snail mail) to:
Warner Bros. Television Animation
15303 Ventura Blvd.
Suite 1200
Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
U.S. mail is the preferred method because you may get a surprise back. I don't know what the exact policy is at WB or if they are still doing it but at one time when I mailed a thank you letter to them I got an 8.5 x 11 high glossy high res photo back (I didn't even have to ask for it), it is from the main titles of the "Road Rovers" on the bus/train (a gif version can be found in picture section of the Official Road Rover site)
QUESTION: Is it true that "Road
Rovers" wasn't be renewed?
ANSWER: Alas the answer is yes. When the WB 1997-99 schedule was
announced "Road Rovers" (and a few other shows) were
not on it. Reports were that the ratings for the show were high
(as high as their top show: Superman) so the lack of renewal is
puzzling to all of us fans. Though, the show was on the
Cartoon Network in 1999 but no new shows.
QUESTION: Can "Road Rovers" be saved?
ANSWER: You're darn tooting! But the fans have to act! Several campaigns
have been launched. In the past
fans have banded together by sending in letters, pictures, tennis
balls (for Hunter) into WB.
QUESTION: Where can I buy Road Rover
Merchandise?
ANSWER: Normally, you can buy merchandise through the chain of Warner
Brother Studio Stores (call 1-800-4-WARNER for the store
nearest you) or by mail order (call 1-800-223-6524 for a catalog
if no Studio Stores are in your area) But WB decided before they
invested any time and money "Road Rovers" needed to
"prove" it had staying power. Though the ratings prove
it was very popular WB refused to renew the show so it is highly
unlikely any merchandise will be seen from "Road
Rovers" (Yes, I'm bitter!) The only thing available to my
knowledge are animation cells from the show (ranging from about
$250-$325) Cell #1, Cell #2,
Cell #3
and Cell #4 are some poor examples of
some cells (but you'll get the idea)
QUESTION: But I saw/heard some people had Road
Rover T-shirts?
ANSWER: Absolutely correct. But these are not merchandise.
They were gifts from the makers of "Road Rovers" (not
WB) to some of the fans that were sending in multiple items in
protest of the cancellation of the show. As of yet you can not
buy these anywhere. Here is a picture
of it.
QUESTION: Who or what was the Master prior to
organizing the "Road Rovers?"
ANSWER: He was Professor Shepherd who headed up the Shepherd
Research Laboratory until one day General Parvo kidnapped the
Professor's Dog (Scout) and forced Shepherd to trade his Dog's
life for his Cano-Mutator technology. But after the exchange,
Parvo double crossed and destroyed Shepherd (technically) and his
laboratory. Between that time and a year later he was transformed
into the Master (glowing eyes, white hair and understands dog
talk) Though, how this happened is anybody's guess (it has yet to
be explained officially) But I think (and this is only an
opinion) is that during the explosion of his labs some of the
genetic transforming chemicals were spilled onto him and mutated
him into the Master.
QUESTION: Can you tell me anything more about
Shepherd's past?
ANSWER: A little. His full name is William F. Shepherd and his
profession is Geneticist. He was born in Greenbay Wisconsin on
4/4/54. He had brown eyes, brown hair and
stood at 6'1. His education consists of Notre Dame (B.S.S), M.I.T. (M.S.A.) and Harvard (Doctorate). He is married and has
two children which he lived with in Socorro, New Mexico. Other
than that, we'll probably never know any addition information.
QUESTION: What is that big hole in the ground
where the "Road Rovers" operate out of?
ANSWER: That is Road Rover Mission Control. The hole is the
remains of Shepherd's Lab after Parvo destroyed it. It is located
somewhere in Socorro, New Mexico (as in Reigning Cats and Dogs)
QUESTION: What is this Transdogmafier gizmo?
ANSWER: It changes pure canine forms (dogs) into a new species
called Cano-Sapiens (a cross between dogs and super humans)
QUESTION: What is this Cano-Mutator thing?
ANSWER: Like the Transdogmafier, it changes pure canine forms
(dogs) into a new species of dogs. But where the Cano-Sapiens
seams to focus on the good traits of dogs the Cano-Mutator
focuses on bad traits of them (makes them huge super human dogs
that are very destructive and vicious) In essence, it turns dogs
into giant Cano-Mutants.
QUESTION: What exactly is Transcatmutation?
ANSWER: Basically, it is the same process that Cano-Mutants go
through except instead of dogs, cats are used. These Felo-Mutants
can be formed by making a few minor changes to the Cano-Mutator.
The only apparent differences between the two is that
Felo-Mutants can talk.
QUESTION: What is Parvo's beef?
ANSWER: I don't know if he really has a personal gripe. But I do
know he understands dogs and their loyalty and wishes to
capitalize on this to satisfy his dreams of world domination. He
started out in life as an ordinary house cat but was then
transformed into a human by the use of the first Transdogmafier
by Jeffrey Otitus (Shepherd's financial whiz)
QUESTION: Why is General Parvo a cyborg?
ANSWER: This is yet another unclear area. When Parvo was first
transformed into a human (from a cat) he was complete (no
mechanical limbs) A possible reason may be that in the early
trial tests of the Cano-Mutator all the bugs may not have been
worked out of the process (which was a key plot point in the
first episode) After sending a dog through the Cano-Mutator the
canine may have been transformed into a Cano-Mutant and gone
berserk and attacked Parvo, forcing him to replace his damaged
limbs with mechanical ones (again this is all another guess on my
part, I have no facts to base this on) But one thing is certain:
He became a cyborg sometime in a year period between the
destruction of Shepherd's Lab and the creation of the "Road
Rovers"
QUESTION: Why is General Parvo always coughing?
ANSWER: Now that the truth is out this question can be answered.
The reason he coughs is from hair balls (Parvo is part cat)
QUESTION: What does Captain Zachary Storm have
against the United States?
ANSWER: Well, it's not because he is "mad at the NFL for
allowing the Cleveland Browns to move to Baltimore". He
opened fired without orders during the Gulf War and was court
marshaled and given a dishonorable discharge (he wants revenge)
QUESTION: What is Gustav Havoc's scheme?
To throw the neighboring countries of Eisneria and Katzenstok
into war by stealing the ancient Scepter of the Valley (a symbol
of peace between the two countries), forcing both countries into
war. Then he can sell arms to them both. Making war is the way he
makes money.
QUESTION: What is Donavon Bell's line of work?
He's a professional dog-napper. One of the lowest forms on the
face of the earth! He steals dogs from where ever or how ever he
can. Then he sells them to whom ever will pay his price. I'd tell
you who finally does meet his price but I would ruin it for you.
Fortunately, the "Road Rovers" (with the help of a
canine friend) were able to shut down Donavon.
QUESTION: What is Professor Eugene Atwater's
plan?
ANSWER: Well, his original plan was to find a way to turn people
into giant bugs (yes, he is a bit off his rocker) You see, he
knows bugs have out lived the dinosaurs and can live through a
nuclear war. Because of this he believes that is the only way
people can survive. But when he lacks funding for his research
General Parvo coughs up the cash (Parvo's plan is to use super
mutant bugs for his world conquest) Unwittingly, he does Parvo's
bidding.
QUESTION: Is Jeffrey Otitus a good guy or a bad
guy?
ANSWER: Yes. Well, in the beginning of Reigning Cats and Dog
he seems a bit greedy but mostly a good guy. But when the
Transdogmafier is ready to be tested, he is willing to sell it to
the highest bidder. This is his down fall, because the buyer(s)
want proof. So he sends Shepherd's pet cat through (Boots) and he
is turned into Parvo. After that, Jeffrey stops working for
Shepherd and joins forces with Parvo. His exact fate is currently
unknown.
QUESTION: Are there hidden messages in every
episode of "Road Rovers?"
ANSWER: Yes. In the end titles of each show are famous quotes
from books and plays, or top lists (that has been the pattern so
far) But the only way you can really catch them is to pause them
on a VCR.
QUESTION: What is Hunter's breeding?
ANSWER: That's an easy one. He's 50% Retriever, 25% Bloodhound,
15% Pointer and 10% Spaniel. But 100% leader (I threw in this
last one in)
QUESTION: Does Hunter have any hidden powers?
ANSWER: Sort of. He's Super Playful, Super Loyal, Super Trusting,
Super Friendly, Super Forgiving, Super Super Lucky, Super Patient
and Super Generous.
QUESTION: When there is a lull in the action why
is Colleen always dancing around.
ANSWER: She's not dancing, but practicing her martial arts
skills. She is the only Road Rover that has a skill rather than a
power (so she must hone it constantly)
QUESTION: Is Blitz known by another name?
ANSWER: Depends who you ask. He's been known to call himself Honest
Blitz. But if you ask Colleen she'll say his name is
Stuffington Fluffy Pants (Fluffy for short). Blitz hates the name
but Exile likes it. Colleen has a tendency to forget Blitz's name
on purpose. She's called him everything from Blintz to
What's-his-name. But she did finally did use his name is
the final episode. Blitz and Colleen can get on each other's
nerves from time to time.
QUESTION: Blitz is pretty much a coward, isn't
he?
ANSWER: Not really. True, he seems to shy away from action from
time to time but he has had his moments (when he rushed in first
to attack Captain Storm's headquarters) To me it seams that his
heroic nature sometimes takes a little longer to surface than the
rest (another one of my opinions)
QUESTION: Why is Muzzle always strapped to that hand
cart?
ANSWER: He was been released in only six episodes ("Storm
From The Pacific", "Still A Few Bugs In The
System", "Reigning Cats and Dogs", "Gold and
Retrievers", "Take Me To Your Leader" and "A
Day In The Life") He has been released when either the
"Road Rovers" found themselves without any weapons or
it is a lot easier for Muzzle to handle the problem. In both
cases he was able to clean house. That is, until he meet Greta
(General Parvo's Rottweiler) where he fell in love and didn't
want to do any fighting (he was a lover not a fighter)
QUESTION: What types of visions is Exile capable
of?
ANSWER: Just Cold, Heat and Night visions.
QUESTION: Why do the "Road Rovers"
have so many vehicles?
ANSWER: One reason may be that they like variety. But my personal
opinion is that they usually don't last too long (five of them
were shot down, one crashed, one beached, one was destroyed upon
landing and yet another was stepped on by a monster) These are
all the vehicles used to date: Sky Rover (three seated Jet
able to do vertical take offs and has a water cannon), Street
Rover (three seated three wheel car with super speed
capacity, air bags, the ability to fly and can be pocket
powered), Sub Rover (Nine seated submarine powered by dog
paddle action), Cloud Rover (Four seated armed helicopter
with a single rotor), Sky Rover (Three seated jet differs
from previous model), Cloud Rover (Two seated helicopter
with twin rotors), Sled Rover+ (Single seated motorcycle
styled sled which is driven by a lone traction wheel), Tank
Rover/Snow Rover+ (Four seated tank like vehicle designed for
the use in snow but can also change into a helicopter which can
also change into a large sled), Jet Rover* (Six seated jet
with missile capacity), Cave Rover* (Five seated 6 x 6
which also has a tow hook and missile capacity), Sonic Rover
(Six seated super sonic jet), Cycle Rover* (Two seated
three wheel motorcycle which can also transform into a jet ski), Turbojet
Rover (Six seated jet which has a laser and can change into a
submarine), Pack Rover* (One seated jet for carrying
cargo), Burrow Rover* (Three seated three wheel car which
can burrow underground), the Tri-Tank Rover* (Two seated
bullet shaped land based vehicle that has two front tank-like
treads and a single rear tire), Wing Rover* (Single dog
jet pack), Space Rover+ (a huge spaceship in with an array
of offensive and defensive systems one of which is that the
saucer section can detach from the rest of the ship and be its
own spacecraft), Hover Rover (Six seated hovercraft-type
boat which can change into a jet) and Hydro Rover* (Two
seated speed boat)
NOTE: "*" designates that the official name of these
vehicles was never announced so I named them. "+"
designates that name was supplied by Dawn Sturm - Assistant to
the Executive Producer.
QUESTION: What are all the great weapons that
the "Road Rovers" have used?
ANSWER: "Anti-Aircraft Laser" (Laser Bazooka),
"My Boyfriend" (Sponge Gun), "?"
(Tennis Ball Shooter), "Tooshie Biting Bouquet"
(Chomping Teeth Launcher), "Road Rover Missile Launcher"
(Missile Launcher), "?" (Frisbee weapon), "?"
(Tennis Ball Gas Bomb), the "?" (compact Tennis
Ball Shooter), the "?" (Spike Ball Launcher),
"?" (Gas Cloud Bone), "?" (Mini
Tennis Ball gun), "? " (Laser Pistol),
"?" (Net launcher), "? " (Laser
Pistol) and "? " (Laser Pistol).
NOTE: Briefly in "Storm From The Pacific" Hunter had
some sort of pistol. But since the exact functionality of this
weapon was never demonstrated (it was confiscated when they were
captured) I have excluded it from this list. Also, "?"
designates that the official name of these weapon was never
given.

QUESTION: Can you send me tapes of the show?
ANSWER: This is perhaps the most asked question I get. Unfortunately,
I can't. I only have one VCR plus the tapes I have aren't that good.
You may want to try various Road Rover or animation news groups, message
boards or chats around the web. And no, I don't have a list of these.
QUESTION: Is there something going on between
Hunter and Colleen?
ANSWER: There have been a few mentions of I'll call ya and
You're too good to me but these have been mostly in jest
(take a look at Colleen's expression during these exchanges and I
think you'll agree) Though, in the finally episode Colleen was
crushed when she thought Hunter had a girlfriend (it turned out
to be his mother) In the end Colleen asked Hunter out but ended
up taking him for a walk. So the Colleen/Hunter thing seams to be
one sided (Hunter not being interested) The real item is between
Blitz and Colleen. He professed his dying love for her (since he
thought he was about to die) but in the rush of things he said it
to Exile instead. Exile's response: Please get therapy!
Though, it is my personal belief that she likes him more than she
lets on (again this is only my opinion) He is the only one of the
Rovers she constantly teases (remember how you were in grade
school?) But alas, we'll probably never find out what happens.
QUESTION: Have any of the "Road
Rovers" had medical training?
ANSWER: Officially - No. But Colleen did perform field surgery
when a wolf who was wounded in the crossfire in "Where
Rovers Dare" Where she learned this was never explained.
Ironically, the only other Rover to stomach the operation was
Shag.
QUESTION: How do the "Road Rovers"
stay on top of the criminal elements of the world?
ANSWER: There are various methods. Just monitoring the news can
alert the Rovers of trouble. Sometimes governments will contact
them directly. They also have contacts in the field (Cano-Sapien
agents) But the best way is through the Road Rover Satellite. It
is a highly advanced orbiting eye-in-the-sky that is so
accurate that it can pin point a vase from orbit. Though it
hasn't been shown, there is probably a whole network of these
satellites around the earth.
QUESTION: What is this book "Go, Dog.
Go!" Exile has been reading?
ANSWER: It is a famous children's book. It was written Philip D.
Eastman in 1961 for Beginner Books (a
division of Random House) The book basically teaches kids between
differences (tall and short, near and far, big and little, etc)
through the use of dogs (characters) As all this is going on a
pink female Poodle and a yellow male Hound run into each other
through out the story. The Poodle will ask "Do you like my
hat?" and the Hound always responds rudely with "I do
not." They then both say "Good-by" and go on their
way (which is why Exile question why the Boy dog didn't like the
Girl dog) This happens four times in the book. But of the forth
time the boy dogs says he likes her hat and they drive off into
the sunset together (hope I didn't ruin it for anyone) If you are
interested, the book is still in print and available in local
book stores and is relatively cheap (I picked up my copy for
about $7.50)
QUESTION: Do the "Road Rovers" have
SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures)?
ANSWER: Nothing the "Road Rovers" do is standard. But
to answer your question: Apparently. In "Hunter's
Heroes" Exile was pawing through a manual (hoping to find a
rule that would allow them to leave Blitz behind) But I think
they follow the rules most true heroes do: 1) Do as the
Master wishes, 2) Protect the helpless and aid the needy, 3) Do
what is always right and 4) Chase cats when ever possible.
Basically, they follow their hearts.
QUESTION: What does Exile exclaim in almost
every episode that sounds a lot like a swear word?
ANSWER: At first, I thought it was just a made up word. But I
have been since set straight (thanks to Seth McGinnis) Actually,
I've caught him saying two different things. The most frequent is
Bolshoi as in the Bolshoi Ballet of Moscow (founded in 1776) Then
one other time I caught Exile saying Bolshevik as in the group of
people who took over the Russian Government back in the 1917
revolution. Both words are quite harmless and are not
curse words (Exile would never swear!)
QUESTION: What is with the Joke Title at the end
of Gold and Retrievers (it is not very funny)?
ANSWER: This has never been cleared up but here is my opinion. In
the episode there is a seeing eye dog called Oso. He turns out to
be the hero in the story. At the end of the show as the credits
are rolling, instead of a joke title they use Dedicated to Oso.
In Spanish Oso means Bear. I think that this Oso indicates my
Bear (my pet dog that died, not my Strayer character) My Road
Rover site was the largest and probably the most popular on the
Net at that time (but there are a lot of other ones out there
too) so the makers of "Road Rovers" had to know it was
out there. At the end of my Fur of Dog, Skin of Man, Heart of
Human Road Rover script there is a little dedication to my
dead dog Bear. Okay, I admit it. It's a bit of a stretch... Okay, a really
really really big stretch. This
could also be really for someone else's pet or friend. But I believe
that the joke title was meant for me (and not a joke at all)
Either way, it is kind of cool to have a dedication no matter who
it is to.
QUESTION: What is this Potato reference Hunter
made to Luka in Gold and Retrievers?
ANSWER: Well. Personally, I haven't a clue (to barrow a line from
Blitz) But Matt Morgan had an idea: "A key part of the
dialogue was the accompanying visual, where he holds his fist out
(as though gripping a steering wheel) toward Luka. There's a beat
(pause) while he apparently waits for Luka to do something, then
looks concerned, withdraws his hand and stares at Luka as though
something is wrong. Apparently a potato is the equivalent
of a handshake or giving someone five, but in this case a
person takes their fist and lightly hits the top of other
person's fist with it (this gesture is then reciprocated)"
Hope this clears up the matter.
QUESTION: Who are these Space Rovers?
ANSWER: Good question. Wish I had a solid answer for you. So most
of this is speculation on my part. They appear to be Rover
operatives that patrol the galaxy to keep it safe. They use the
starship Space Rover as their base of operation. I'm
guessing their commander is an Afghan named Persia (as
pieced together from the December AOL Road Rover chat) This is
all that I can come up with on this subject.
QUESTION: Does Hunter ever find his parents?
ANSWER: Sort of. In the finale episode Hunter is able to track
down his mother (she is living on a farm in Wyoming) He flies
there and has a touching reunion. But like always, the duty of a
Road Rover comes first. He is force to rush away. It must be
noted that Hunter's father is never mentioned (whether he is
alive, dead or what) nor how or why Hunter was separated from his
mother... I guess we'll just never know.
QUESTION: Why is it in A Hair From the Dog
That Bit You Colleen and Exile were bitten by the Werewolves
but only Colleen is affected?
ANSWER: Good question. Unfortunately, I don't have an OFFICIAL
answer. But here is what I think. First of all, they weren't
bitten but scratched. Only in one episode is blood shown
(Reigning Cats and Dogs) so we don't know exactly how deep both
wounds are. My guess is that Exile's wasn't as bad. Also in the
episode, Exile explains that "I am close relative of
wolf" so maybe wolves have a natural protection from
Werewolves (hey, this is all fiction) Well. There is my answer.
But if you don't like it here is one from a fan ( from Shadow3397): During
the fight, when the werewolves pin the two Rovers, Exile looks away as
the drool drops on him, while Colleen yells out "Ewww! Wolf Drool!".
Later on, Confuseus tells them to use some wolf drool to make the
cure. Most medical techniques use a part of the venom or disease
to counter it, and that's where my theory comes in. Colleen yelled
out and got some drool in her mouth (but we probably couldn't
see it, it's a cartoon), but Exile didn't. It's a safe bet that
it was the drool that changed Colleen, not the scratches, because
Exile wasn't effected. What do you think?
QUESTION: Where does the Master get all the
money to equip the "Road Rovers" with such high tech
equipment and weapons and maintain an awesome base of operations?
ANSWER: Another great question that was never directly addressed
in the show. So here is my theory. In Where Rovers Dare
the "Road Rovers" worked directly with the United
Nations. Also, the masters of each Rover (when in Pre-Cano-Sapien
form) are a head of a country. Though it has never been told
either way whether they know their pets are really super heroes.
My feeling is that they do. Because of these two things I think
the United States and its allies help fund the "Road
Rovers" and the Master because they help keep the peace.
They probably don't have a direct hand in their operation but
place the money in a Swiss Bank Account or something like that.
QUESTION: How was it that in Gold and
Retrievers Shag was able to use his cellular phone in the
middle of the Amazon?
ANSWER: Here is my stab at the answer. Remember, they're
"Road Rovers" They have the most advanced technology in
the world. There is nothing typical or ordinary about their
equipment. Same goes with Shag's phone. It is probably tied into
the Road Rover satellite seen in Let Sleeping Dogs Lie.
Okay?
QUESTION: What happened to the Russian Name
Song that is suppose to be in A Day In The Life?
ANSWER: According to Bob Ducette and Tom Ruegger some parents complained to WB (I don't know how many) about the content of the
song. It was cut from the show after the first airing and will never
be shown again (If you have this show on tape you have a collector's item there) It was a play on a swear word without
using the actually swear word. The problem I have with this is
that unless you knew what the swear word was you couldn't
make the connection. It wasn't like the song actually taught you
the swear word (since it is never actually used) But you be the
judge. Check out the lyrics for yourself on Check out the
lyrics for yourself. One good thing did come out of it,
it proved to WB that both young and old watch the show. Oh, by
the way. The song was taken from a poem Tom Ruegger did in school
which he got an A on.
QUESTION: Is it just me or do the voices of the interrogations
from A Day In The Life sound a bit
different?
ANSWER: You've got great ears! No, they are different.
According to Tom Ruegger Colleen's and Blitz's bits were taken
from the audition tapes done by the actor/actress when they were
trying out for the part. The free flowing and improve of both
scenes are great! They both remind me of something you would hear
from a video dating tape.
QUESTION: But I also saw/heard some got a Road
Rover pin?
ANSWER: That is correct. And that someone was me (Aren't I
the smug one?) It was sent to me by Bob Doucette (Producer of
"Road Rovers") for continuing to fight to get the show
back on the air. But this is not merchandise. As of yet
you can not buy these anywhere. Here is a picture of it.
QUESTION: What is a Nuclear Winter?
ANSWER: In "Still A Few Bugs in the System" Flea tried
to explode a nuclear reactor to create a Nuclear Winter (so
everyone but the bugs would die) A Nuclear Winter is a theory that if many nuclear bombs were explode (like in a war) the mass
burning of cities and forests would release soot into the
atmosphere. This would in turn block out sunlight lowing
temperatures all over the world. Some estimates are between (1-36
degrees F.) It could take months or even a year for the soot to
fade away. So, no disrespect to the producers of "Road
Rovers", but even if Flea had succeeded in blowing up
the reactor it would have been near to impossible to start a
Nuclear Winter. He would have had to explode many more.
(Question asked by Cristina Fagundes)
QUESTION: What happened to the molecular
stabilizer?
ANSWER: In "Let's Hit The Road" Parvo stole an
experimental gene splicing device called the molecular
stabilizer. It was his hope that it would make the affects of cano-mutation last so he could take over the world. Fortunately,
he never got a chance to use it. The Rovers managed to take it
from him, it was last seen in the hands of Shag. Though, I have
no proof, my guess is that it was returned to its rightful owner.
After all, the Master has mastered (no pun intended) the mutation
process so it was little use to him. And the Rovers are the
goodies of the show so they would never keep something
that did not belonged to them.
(Question asked by Varakorn Ungvichian)
QUESTION: How was the Master able to create the
Road Rover Mission Control, Transdogmafiers and all the vehicles
within a year?
ANSWER: Again, this is only a guess but... The Transdogmafiers
are more compact than the Cano-Mutators so they could be build
more easily. Maybe the Master build one and sent some dog(s)
through (such as Hubert or the Space Rovers) and they in turn
helped him build the base, the rest of the Transdogmafiers,
vehicles and what not.
QUESTION: In Hair Hunter wondered who ate
all the chocolates but isn't chocolate toxic to dogs?
ANSWER: Well, I'm not a vet so I'm not really sure but we give our
dog chocolate bars every so often and he has yet to get sick from
it. Then on the other paw maybe only certain breeds of dogs get
affected so I'm not really sure. Anyway, you have to remember that
the Rovers aren't ordinary dogs. They are part human, part dog. So
if there was a part on the dog side that was toxic to chocolates perhaps that was replaced by the human side. So that instead of
getting sick they get fat like real humans and have to go on diets.
But as far as the real world: I remembered a vet's warning about it,
and found an article on the Net. Theobromine is the main psychoactive drug in chocolate. There is very little
caffeine. Unlike
people, dogs cannot metabolize theobromine easily, it remains in their
system over a VERY long time (on the order of MONTHS!) cycling
between the liver and the bloodstream, so a chocolate a day is like
slow poison. This is from
