Atchley
I'm researching the family of Robert Atchley. Robert was married to Sarah P. Barnett and one of their children was James N. Atchley, born 6/19/1892 in Red River Co., TX. I've been told that Robert was Robert Seth Atchley from Sevier Co., TN and related to the Atchleys from Middlesex, NJ but haven't found anything linking them yet.
Baker
I'm researching the family of John Baker. John was born in 1795 in Charlotte, NC. He married Nancy Smith between 1820 and 1824 in Alabama. Nancy was half Cherokee and was born 1797 in Charlotte, NC. John died 10/12/1956 in Dade Co., MO and Nancy died 1865 Bell Co., TX. Some of their descendants ended up in Hamilton, Hamilton Co., TX. Three of their sons were Confederates during the Civil war, stationed in Texas, near Waco. I have Pension applications for two of them but it's noted in them that their names cannot be found on any Roster.
Bynum
I'm researching the family of Andy Luther Bynum. Andy was born 7/1867 and married Florida Isabell Prater in Fayette Co., AL. Andy died 11/6/1959 in Hamilton, Hamilton Co., TX. Florida died 2/22/1926. After Florida died, Andy married Estelle Crawford 10/12/1928 Hamilton Co., TX. Then he married Mattie Mae Crawford 4/16/1938 Hamilton Co., TX.
Childers
I'm researching the family of Mosby Childers of VA. The line I'm researching goes through John W. Childers, born 12/1826 in Ohio, married Hanna Calhoun 7/10/1851 in Hillsboro, Hill Co., TX. John died before 1860 and Hanna died 7/18/1921 in Snyder, Scurry Co., TX. Some of their descendants ended up in Rising Star, Eastland Co., TX.
Hagar
I'm researching the family of Samuel Thomas Hagar. Samuel was born 10/8/1834 Lincoln County, Tennessee and married Rachel Caroline Bush 10/10/1853 in Johnson Co., AR. Rachel was born 5/22/1839 Pope Co., AR. Samuel died 7/9/1897 Stephens Co., TX and Rachel died 2/3/1927 in Eastland Co., TX.
Howard
I'm researching the family of Valentine/Volentine Howard. He married Sarah Ann Clover 1862 Hamilton Co., TX and died 1884 Hamilton Co., TX. Sarah was born abt. 1848 Angelina Co., TX and died 6/14/1936 Comanche Co., TX.
Jumper
I'm researching the family of Charles Conrad Schombert through his descendant Thomas Anderson Jumper born 11/12/1843 South Carolina or AL. Thomas married Susie Catherine Mann abt. 1870. He died 12/11/1919 Kokomo, TX. Susie died 4/29/1947 in Kokomo, TX.
Leonard
I'm researching the family of George Washington Leonard born 1864. He married Belle Zura Troutt 5/8/1881 Hamilton or Lampassas Co., TX. Belle was born 12/22/1866 Evant, Hamilton Co., TX and died 11/24/1893 Hamilton Co., TX. G.W. died 1945 Hamilton Co., TX. He may have been the son of John Leonard and Elizabeth Pinkston.
Pinkston
I'm researching the family of John Blakemore Pinkston. He married Mary Jamieson 2/14/1840 Benton Co., MO. John died 1/1/1895 Coleman Co., TX and Mary died abt. 1858. John was the son of Moses Pinkston and Nancy Douglass, the grandson of Bazil Pinkston and Keziah Paris.
Prater/Prather
I'm researching the family of Robert Prater and Anne M. Cain from the Prathers from England.
Whitaker
I'm researching the Whitakers/Whittakers of the Holme, Lancashire, England through their descendant Jabez Whitaker.
