Sergei
Fedorov
|
Ever since he
entered the NHL in 1990, Sergei Fedorov has been a dominant force
for the Detroit Red Wings. Along with his great scoring, skating,
and passing ability he is also a premier defender with two Selke
Trophies as the league's best defensive forward. Among the many
honors Sergei has achieved in the NHL, none is probably higher
than the Hart Trophy that he won after the '93-'94 season as the
NHL's Most Valuable Player. After a holdout during the '97-'98
season Sergei signed a long-term deal, which to the delight of Red
Wings fans will keep him in Detroit for a long time to come. |

Pavel
Bure
|
Ever since I saw
Pavel Bure for the first time playing for the Soviet Red Army Team
in Moscow in 1991 I have thought him to be one of the best players
in the world. Maybe my opinion is biased since I was born in
Moscow, Russia and lived there for ten years, but I think many
will agree that Pavel is the most exciting player to watch in
hockey today. Not only that, he is also a great team leader,
helping the Canucks reach the finals in the 1993-'94 campaign.
