POEMS AND QUOTES FOR JOE

Many of Joe's friends have contributed poems and sayings that
they found and we would like to share those with all:

May Memories Comfort You

The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand,
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth
still lingers on the land,
The music stops, and yet it echoes on
in sweet refrains...
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.

MY FRIEND

Because you are so dear a friend,
Your cares are my cares too,
And so as sorrow fills your heart,
My heart goes out to you
And though my words cannot begin,
To ease the loss you bear,
I only hope it helps somehow,
To know how much I care

The best and most beautiful things in the world
cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt
with the heart. by Helen Keller

Friends are the part of our family we get to chose.

A Prayer Away

Don't be distressed or worried.
Be confident and still.
For many prayers are going up,
All asking for GOD's will.
The road ahead seems dark now
There's not much you can do...
But place yourself within his hands...
And He will see you through.
So trust Him for each moment,
Cast on Him every care...
And His strong arms will carry you,
When its too much to bear.
There is power for the asking...
And strength for each new day.
The Great Physician's still on call
He's just a prayer away.

SAFELY HOME

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illuminated
Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows
Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

.............Diane, my dear friend, I hope these words help you
as they have me...God Bless you and your family
in your time of need, and forever...

FAREWELL

A butterfly lit talkcity one day
And quickly learned the silly way.
We love each other in chat and play
...Like a butterfly.. he could not stay
His wings became angel wings today.
Goodbye Joe, we will see you someday
